can someone recap the last 15 pages? are we gunna get this guy or not?
Yes. He's announcing on Feb 20th and according to JC Shurburtt (the 247 Sports guy from the area):

JC Shurburtt 21589 posts
Strong indications are he's heading to Georgia Tech

Plus, McCollum has been working this kid since he arrived at Tech. McCollum's son, Drew, went to school with Corn when Andy was the HC at MTSU years ago and the family knew them from that time.

Therefore, my bet is that he's coming to GT.

He has the ideal speed and shiftiness for a-back. Needs to add some lbs and learn to block.

PJ needs to figure out how to get playmakers the ball rather than use the excuse he can't block.

d'anthony thomas sucks at blocking too

point is paul can do more in this offense to get these guys the rock on traps, sweeps, counters and oh by the way....if you have the ball you don't have to block. So we can do better being more creative.

Not doubting you but is he waiting on anything from GT? Does he have the green light from the Hill, CBG and CPJ to attend, play Bball and football?

If so, I find the delay curious. I apologize if this question has already been addressed - having trouble keeping up recently.

I think his HS BB team is in the middle of playoffs or some such - he doesn't want all the hoopla distracting from that.

Excellent post. I've been thinking this with BJ Bostic for 3 years now. And I think Corn Elder is a good bit better than BJ.

His highlights are redunkulous.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-E7J2itdykU

He turns so quick, breakaway speed is breathtaking

Thanks for the link, his size, speed, running style and obvious "game vision" on the field kind of reminds me of someone but I just can't put a name to them, does the kid's tape remind anybody else along these lines, or is it just early onset mental doddering on my part....:dunno:

He's cleared by the Hill and GT. The only reason for the delay is the kid is just being thorough. He really likes basketball and he wants to make sure he makes a good decision.

He's not Barry Sanders, but he does have the wiggle and jump cuts that remind me of Barry Sanders.

Good points, and I think the example of BJ shows that CPJ was trying to follow 33's suggestion.

BJ was targeted a lot in our passing game this past year. I'm pretty sure that we also ran some a-back inside traps for him too.

Elder loves Basketball and plays football. He is a better football player than B-Ball player. He is also a big fan of ACC Basketball and wants to play in the ACC.

I think the decision he is trying to make is does he love and want to play ACC basketball enough to also have to play football. If that answer is yes he comes to GT if that answer is no he goes to Purdue.

If it were up to me, and he calls us up and says he is going to Purdue because he wants to focus on B-Ball only, we get CBG on the phone and offer him a B-Ball scholarship. Once he is on campus he may just decide he wants to play football in the fall.

Definitely did a better job getting the ball to BJ last year but I think he still needs more. He's really great with the ball in his hands.

Elders skill set reminds me of guys like Reggie Bush and Darren Sproles. Not saying he is as good as them, but the thing that stands out is being able to cut on a dime at near full speed.

Does CBG have the scholarship to give?

Yeah. We currently have one to give for 2013. We are chasing pg Travis Jorgenson. Jorgenson is a smallish pg who is more a distributor than scorer. Elder not be quite as polished as Jorgenson but not by much.
