roster updated

nevermind, Hive material

Oh boy. Our DL is looking like it's going to suck again. Our starting DT's are going to be sub 280. Unless Gotsis is the next Joe Anoai, expect more mediocrity from the D.

Good size on the OL though.

Can speed make up for size or can you change the scheme to fit for size/speed?

Do you think Roof is going for penetration over gap plugging to fit our players? I know our OL was not entirely first string in the spring game, but the DL sure got good penetration and backfield disruption.

The question is did he ask our guys to keep it slim and fast or did they fail to beef up?

OK I refreshed the page and he is now on the list. He was not on the list earlier today.

Devine at 6'7 355. Griffin at 6'6 272. The kid that just committed is 6'6 280 and may play center. Preddy is 6'5 and Klock is 6'4. Our future OL is going to be HUGE. Oh and Custis, Vad, JT and Kinlaw get to run behind them. No reason to be positive about our future though.

C'mon You cannot immediately say our DL is going to suck based on reading heights and weights.

Maybe Gotsis will be the next Joe Anoai? Daryl Richard played at 285 much of his career also.

Gotsis has incredible technique and intensity....I will guarantee you that Gotsis is harder to block at 280 than TJ Barnes was 95% of his career at 330...just because of technique, pad level, and intensity.

Gotsis will be a 3 year starter.

But he's on offense?

I know this. But its a case of a very overweight guy who is not in condition to play football I think. That kind on size can make you look like a monster in HS. But if you aren't in shape it is different in college.

He actually came in heavier than 355...Kelly Q reported back in June he showed up at 385 but since has been losing weight. He has a way to go to be in shape to play meaningful snaps. Look for redshirt year.

That was one of the most polite commentaries about TJ that I ever read ....
