It does appear he will be stepping down for serious health concerns. The stingtalk community should wish him a speedy recovery and remember him, his friends, and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

ANY disrespect will NOT be tolerated at a time like this.

Your right gtfan. I and I doubt any others wish any ill will upon Mr. Braine. I hope he beats whatever is ailing him and he recovers fully. I hope we can have a decent, open discussion about his time at Tech and his replacement without disrepecting, nor bowing to, the reason he left.

How were you disrespected

by back-to-back highest ever finishes for GT athletics on a national stage? By our basketball team's appearance in the national championship game? By a trip to the CWS? By nine bowl games in a row? By financial health for the AA? By signing and resigning the most successful crop of coaches GT's ever had? By major facility improvements?

How does that disrespect any GT fan? You are both clueless and classless.

I am NOT asking.....

either you respect the request or you will lose your posting privileges.

Agreed. The deed is done. Now that we are moving on, people should know that D Braine offered his resignation months and months ago. Why wasn't it accepted then?

I am most respectful to Mr. Braine but that presents me with an academic question.

What is everyone's opinion on what showing respect means. Clearly calling one out and just generally saying good riddance is lack of respect.

But where do all you guys think the line is? Do you have to tell me I am great? Can you review my body of work that includes my negatives and faults? Can you say I should of done better? Or is it like porn and you know it when you see it?

Again, this is not a Braine flame. I think the program AS A WHOLE is in better shape than we he came in.

I am most concerned at this present time about his health. I may not have agreed with all of his decisions while at GT but I would not wish this illness upon anyone. My prayers will be with him and his family.
