Because according to the stats, we won this game.

Too bad about that missed FG.

As far as the FG, the way uga was playing late, I think they would have scored a TD to tie in regular time if they needed it. At least that seemed to be the case when they converted on 4th down when they absolutely needed it, and in overtime when they absolutely needed it.

yes I would have taken 3 more points to make our chances better though...

Three plays affected the outcome significantly:

1) The missed FG by Butker

2) The stalled drive and preceding play call that caused us to punt. The game would have been sealed there with a conversion and succeeding FG.

3) The play call on 2nd down in 2OT.

I believe that's why there is an old saying that goes "Stats are for losers!".

You forgot the overthrown bomb to Godhigh as the first half was ending. That would've been a back breaker.

That was our can't miss and infamous wheel route. If Vad throws that ball from the proper footing, game over.

I admired CPJ for going for their throat like that.

But like so many other games, Uga makes the plays and we don't.

I compare that play to UGa's 4th and 9. They did it. We didn't.

If, if and if. Really? We were up a ton. We win if we don't let 'em score..

yep, the stats say we won the game.TOS 36 to 23 and more OFF yds.The problem comes with the PJ off inside the 20 with weak Oline and room to throw deep..

unfortunately college football has changed and 20 points may not be 'up a ton' anymore. Teams score a lot these days.

Auburn was up 20 points against uga in fourth quarter last week. uga still went ahead in the game.

That was my takeaway from the game. We are right there with UGA and Auburn.

The divide isn't nearly as great as some of the whiners think.

Hopefully some recruits were in attendance last night to see what an awesome atmosphere we can provide.

If we stop UGA on 4th and 6 or whatever it was from their own 40, we win going away.

The divide was bad last two years, but we are a better team this year (and uga is slightly worse).

I think the stupid godfreydaniels interception that Vad threw into traffic did it for me. Makes you long for Jimmy Carter. Just throw it in there. Maybe we'll catch it and score a touchdown. Maybe suck isn't so bad. Justin Thomas never saw a play? Thanks Chan, I mean Paul. Way to call another of your stupidass ego games where you have to call every play and run them in with players like erebody's so impressed with your genius. And what kind of drinks were they serving up in the pressbox? They tap a keg up there? I guess it is what it is you ugly son of a bitch.

I would add the interception -- that was a dagger. :frown:

Yeah, when they're missing Marshall, Murray, 2 corners and 3 WR's.

The Mason kid is as good as Murray. Murray isn't anything special dude.

And as for the injuries, we have injuries too. Are you just going to ignore those?

Having the most career touchdowns in SEC history is something.

And we went all year without most of ours, they were missing 2 corners and Murray.

Doesn't matter how long you are missing talented guys. Each team would be better with the players that were missing. No arguing that.

Having a stat doesn't make you a great player. Just means you were part of a good team, with good supporting staff. See David Greene for just one example. See Tim Tebow for another.

Sounds like you've been hanging around too many Dwag fans and starting to drink the kool aid.
