went to yja for the uga game and was suprised at these guys size. werent that big.

you also said something about our potential on the d-line and potential means one thing. hasn't done öööö. the loss of dieke and attaouchu is going to be tough. dieke was a monster as was sneezy.

What are you watching? Dieke was terrible until about 3 games into this year. If you've been paying attention at all Dieke was the quintessential looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. He really stepped up his game this year late but he wasn't dominant or anything. He still played light years better this year than he has done in his entire 3 years prior.

I feel like the players arent gonna be able to get up for the bowl after the latest uga debacle.

We got beat even harder last year by Georgia, but you can't tell me those guys weren't up for kicking USC's backside in El Paso last year.
I think this team, especially the seniors, will be pretty jacked up for a bowl, especially if we get Ole Miss or Vandy or another SEC team.

Is this correct? If so I see a good possibility of 9-3. We will be the team with the experienced QB against VT, Miami, NC, Clemson, and UGA unlike previous seasons.

Two thoughts on next year's GT/GaSou game:
1) What will the over/under be for total passing yards in the game?

2) Is the game now the "winner gets to coach Georgia Tech, the loser has to coach Georgia Southern" game?

I understand you are halfway joking but I'm pretty sure if CPJ got canned there would be no way Bobinski would rehire the same offense.

Stop it. Just stop it. GSU is good, but they're still an FCS team. We played 2 FCS teams this year and literally could have beaten both of them 100-0 if we wanted.

Objectively, that looks like an 8-4 schedule. I can't imagine any worse than 7-5, but 9-3 could easily be possible if we can smooth out the offense and keep our defensive momentum.

This is the preseason prognostication EVERY season since O'leary

as an example prior to our bowl victory last season, the team played one of its more complete game in terms of effort and pride in a losing effort to Florida State in the ACC Championship Game.

We really need to shake the VPI monkey in order to have a truly successful season again. I think losing that game ets our team morale pretty low as the winner as gone to the ACCCG in most seasons.

Agree that we need to solve VT to make progress.

I don't know how GSU beat UF, so I can't comment on our chances against them. I know that "lesser" teams that run the option have given us fits in the past.

I also don't know how much option we run in '14. Vad strikes me as a non-option mobile quarterback. I think his mesh point out of the diamond is better than when he is under center, but he'd be hell out of a traditional spread. And I think he gets frustrated when he has a defender grabbing at him too early in the 3O sequence.

Most fans miss line play altogether, except for sacks. When it goes well, they think their quarterbacks and runners are superstars. Same for linebackers. When it goes poorly, they think the same players are bums.
