I have talked to Feldman about this matter, he is my neighbor's wife's boyfriend. Anyway, the quote comes directly from VL's mother's aunt.
I'm just saying he has plenty to do other than make crap up. Look up his resume. Why would he just make this up? He is a Credible reporter with a major network who was lured away from ESPN. He wouldn't just throw this out on the week of the BCS games for no reason. Nor would he be using his time to dig up rumors about a coach at a school that is frankly irrelevant this week. This info was given to him from someone he found credible so he tweeted it. Didn't dig up a story just passed on the info.

I disagree with the recruiting restrictions part....his offense is the recruiting restriction. Hence why our best QB recruit just left.
Football players that have to take calculus and actually go to class is not a restriction compared to majority of schools recruiting them??? I don't even believe that at Rice everyone has to take calculus.

I think the story may have legs.

And think about it. VL was the starter for a reason (whatever it may be). How many times did CPJ lament not playing JT more this season? Despite all that hot air, JT had next to zero playing time. I think CPJ sees the writing on the wall. JT may yet be the QB CPJ needs, but CPJ won't be here long enough to bear the fruits of his development (if he is to be fired next season). This could be a jockey for a return to GSU since the job is open. CPJ HATES the local media, so who better to scorn once more than those he despises?

Got a sister on an athlete advisory board at GT. Negotiations...negotiations...negotiations. Maybe she is wrong - though why would she be given bad information in her role at GT? She sent me a text around 16:00 about this.

Maybe the next HC to be appointed would be Roof? Followed by the hiring of an up-n-coming offensive coordinator from a mid-major? Who knows, though. Ya know?

11Alive had a story about VL transfer and the press release. Followed by:

In case you were wondering, Coach Johnson has a $7.5 million buyout. Johnson plans on coaching the Jackets next fall.
 Even if it isn't true, press is always good right?

BB, that's not reporting it's gossiping. No, when you do it for money there is a better word for it.

The calculus requirement is complete stupidity. I took 5 calc classes in undergrad and I don't remember a goddamned bit of it.

Just tell him that either he starts winning or his contract will not be renewed. He's the "expert". So, he either has to fix what he broke or he looks for another job. There is no way that I would pay this guy off to leave if I were the AD.

If some super wealthy alum wanted to put up the $9 million to buy him out, I might reconsider.

But, for $4+ million a year we should expect professionalism ,leadership and much better than average performance from the guy.
