I know for a fact it was said, believe it or not. Ted Roof has nothing to do with anything. Also, I spoke to a Citadel Alum friend of mine who is helping with the coaching search for The Citadel asked me if I heard pj turned down 6yr/$12 mill deal from Army, of course I hadn't heard that, but was later confirmed from a couple of coaches that are involved over at The Citadel. Are they liars as well?
I never said anyone was a liar. I think things can be taken out of context and misrepresented. Your news about Army suggests that CPJ isn't just looking to get out.

Seeking a job without informing the AA would be a violation of his contract. So I would guess the AA knew about the Army thing?

that doesn't fit with 'he wants to leave', because that's larger than his remaining contract and he didn't leave for it. So now you are telling us he decided to stay for a smaller contract.

I can hear Kelly Quinlan right now. "This happens at every school." "Everyone else is a liar". "PJ will be here forever". I think the guy is PJ's personal PR dept, and most of our fans fall for it. Glad I dropped that crap.

Why turn down 12 to keep 7?

Only reason I can think is he's just tired and wants to golf

Because he thinks he can get his $7 million from GT and then get another job for more then $5 million afterwards? Oh yeah... and because he would be coaching at Army and admitting defeat at the BCS level.

I have to laugh at the PJ to Army offer. That's not true at all.

I think it's best that Beestorm lock this thread. It's gotten downright stupid.

Agree with BOR. This is getting ridiculous. It should actually be like nuked. Not locked. My eyes are bleeding.

Gentlemen, Mover may have been in the bottle last night but at the end of the day, all of his frustration was coming out from all the A$$ whoopins I gave him when we were kids!!!!:rotfl:
From what we heard, that's not the only male ass you were interested in.;)

What I don't get is all this worry about recruits if CPJ isn't here long term. We'd be much better off long term if we're going to a new coach for more of them to fit a new system.

Because someone is feeding mover what he wants to hear, and he fell for it hook, line and sinker.

CPJ is here for 2014. At the end of 2014, Bobinski will have to make a decision. I suggest you stop wasting time on this rumor crap.

We will have more of an idea on decision timeline when 2014 schedule comes out.

Ok. But what about this? There is a we who are trying to expedite this.

I know for a fact Paul wants out, we are trying to expedite it for him. Successfully I hope, very soon!

Doesn't the buyout go from somewhere around $8 million to $2.5 after next year? I'm a CPJ basher, but understand reality. Next year's schedule is murder and without improvement, the answer is going to be clear.

I do not start rumors on here! Nate and I know for fact that Paul put it out there is fact. No I will not tell you who told us and if you don't believe us that is fine, that doesn't bother me. I also know for a fact that the locker room is very toxic with many players unhappy, I know this to be true from 3-5 people who I've spoken with.
My question is: what does it mean to have a toxic locker room, and why? Is it because he Johnson was behind Lee and the players thought JT should play? Is it because they don't like the coaches? There are a lot of ways that can go, and I'm curious about what's making it so toxic.

Quite frankly, we should have alot of players that are unhappy. The season was crummy from their perspective, I'm sure.

No. It is more like 5.2 mil buyout after next season. I see two more seasons. I hope he can turn it around. Next coach will do worse IMO.

Did the players play their last few games like there were some off-the-field issues going on? I thought they played hard against ugag and even in the MCB. I didn't see players giving up. If the lockerroom was so toxic, I think there would've been more signs of it on the field.
