Custis Cleared

I just hope he kept up with work-outs while he was in limbo.

A big question is what will happen to snoddy since he's not the typical bback type and custis may pass him because of it.

I just hope he kept up with work-outs while he was in limbo.

Sounds like he was:

While separated from his Georgia Tech teammates, Custis sat out the fall semester and prepped for the test – which he passed on his first attempt in October. He also worked out with a personal trainer for four days per week, 2.5 hours per day.

They worked on speed and agility, hill climbing, and on his leg strength,” his father said. “He’s pretty much in shape. Travis stayed focused and stayed healthy. He just couldn’t wait to get back, and he couldn’t get back quick enough.”

Was he not allowed to be trained by Sisk cause he hadn't officially enrolled yet or something?

Custis is for real. Only thing I worry about is injury. Laskey best put some work in if he wants to see the field next season. #1 thing to be excited about for next year is all our rushing weapons.

Looking forward to seeing Custis play but I'm not going to get hyped up about him until I see him on the field.

Guess I should have learned my lesson with Vad, but it's hard to not get excited about new players.

Did GT make an exception for this recruit.
I am not certain he was...because Michael Carvell incorrectly reported that the NCAA flagged his SAT/ACT test scores. That is not correct. His SAT/ACT were fine...and his core GPA was fine....but definitely borderline for GT sports so he may have been made an exception. It was a HS academic related matter that flagged him by the NCAA Clearinghouse and it has now been resolved.

is this because the HS lost their accredidation?

He runs low and powerful. He likes contact. If he is a good blocker he could beat Laskey out. Laskey would probably beat out Sims if he could block.

yep,
Bback is MUCH different position than what he played in hischool, learning in touching ball every play and getting hit every play in a instant takes a while -instead of 6 yds deep and pick your hole

Here are the last three players that I was really excited about:

Jordan Luallen
Denzel McCoy
Vad Lee

I think it's in GT Football's best interest that I do not get excited about new players until further notice. :hsughcry:

I guess it's too early to include Kallon on your list.
