ESPN has a report that Miami's starting QB Ryan Williams tore his ACL. Looking at the schedule, it seems to me that's the pivot game for Tech having a big season. Away date at VPI, a down-trending program, then two weeks to prepare for Miami. It's a gauntlet with Duke (also at home) the next week but GT has a good shot to be unbeaten and ranked by this time. BTW, saw PJ at church today. Attends pretty regularly during the offseason.

I might be one of the few who remember you. You have always been somewhat of a nice font so please don't feel too poorly about it when I say öööö you. !

Duke and gauntlet don't belong in the same sentence. We will destroy Duke.

Well said. And from the heart of my bottom, the feeling is mutual. In rivalries I believe in hating unto others as I would have them hate unto me, so I put a lot of energy into loathing all my Tech buddies, while talking football with them from shallowly submerged hostilities.

That injury makes a huge difference to me. I almost hate to say it and get my own hopes up, but if losing their QB impacts them like it should, there's not a game in the first 10 we should expect to lose

Yes. We've never struggled with back-up QB's.

You do realize we lost our starting QB, too?

Do you even watch our games?

Expectations!

That wasn't supposed to be a 10 and OH start BABY kind of post. I know winning all 10 is about as likely as winning both of the last two, I just thought it was interesting that the toughest games out of the first 10 are against a VT team we should beat (but you know how that goes...) and Miami without their likely starting QB with an extra week in between (but you know how that goes, too)

Not in the least bit convinced we will win all of those, I just think that injury made things more interesting if we turn out to be decent this year

Don't know why people are assuming he won't be fixed by the time they play us. Season is a long way away.

If he has ACL surgery, he would be the first football player I've heard of (not named Adrian Peterson) to come back from the surgery and perform that quickly.

I would expect he'll sit out the year and apply for a medical redshirt.
