Good: Win. Passing game. No TO's. Few if any penalties.
OK running (did we really run the option?). KO's into
EZ.

Not real good: Tackling & giving up huge TD run. Let them
hang around. Bad punt return by us. Bad
Punt by us. Missed FG.

One game so is it bad - same old thing - or holding back?

Who knows but time may well tell and maybe faster than we thought.
Based on what I saw today we have distinct issues on both LOS. So I am calling same old thing when we start playing better teams.

Huh, I thought we were playing next Saturday, not next Thursday

Folks, if we can't run the bback up the middle any better than that vs a Wofford,we are not going to be able to run or pass vs good teams
Perhaps they were selling out to jam the middle and leaving the flats and passing lanes more open?

As a friend who was watched a lot of Wofford v Georgia Southern over the years said today, Tech got Wofforded. Wofford is going to do what it does. They are always going to have a good offensive line. They won't beat themselves. And because of their years going up against Southern, they know what to expect and how to slow down the option.

If JT had settled down earlier and PJ then been a little more willing to open it up early, that might have made a big difference in the offense. As it was, the offense wasn't bad. But Ayers knew his best shot was to slow the game down, and Wofford is always one of FCS' top rushing teams for several reasons.

Disappointed the margin wasn't greater, and also a little surprised, but given Wofford's track record against Clemson and USCe, not a bad performance offensively. Not great. But not bad.

Voice of reason -- therefore has no place here ...

We only had 8 possessions. Scored on 6 of them.

And one of those was a missed field goal. We didn't have a turnover yesterday either and only put the ball on the ground once. That's been our problem in past years.

I don't really understand the nuclear meltdown over this game. Didn't play great, but beat a team that always plays people tough. I'm concerned about the defensive line, and maybe a little bit with Nealy taking angles like he's freaking Thomas DeCoud out there, but other than that I'm not ready to write this team off. Thomas threw for 210 yards (not including that pitch to Snoddy), no turnovers, and Jesus did anyone see Snoddy flying down that sideline?!?! I haven't seen speed like that from a Georgia Tech football player since, well... ever!

But but but if only Snoddy was a football player and not a track athlete, he would have seen that player and deflected the tackle and scored....

I have been reading posts here for a few years now. Some people like to bitch. Some of them have valid arguments, but a lot of them just like to bitch. It is as if bitching is fashionable. But really bitching is like the happy song old and stale.

Tony Hollings would have scored.

I wouldn't expect many more runs like that from Snoddy. It's not often a guy has nothing in front of him but turf.

Was fast as lightning, though. Fun to watch.

good to know that one of the best backs in Tech history would have scored

Just making sure he gets his due since his career was cut short due to our school's own arrogance.

Dwyer and Orwin had plenty of long runs where there was no one in front of them.

Since when is requiring athletes to pass classes arrogance? If you want to blame it on poor management and support by the AA on the other hand, go ahead.

He's talking about Holling's tearing up his knee in a questionable need for him to continue playing
