Forget the call on the field and the review - for a guy who played an overall great game he made a horrible mistake in that situation. We'd be killing our guy on here if he'd done the same.
That was actually their back-up QB Upshaw (Ellison played the rest of the game). For some reason Upshaw played that series and then the last one to end the game. Not sure why Ellison wasn't playing - looks like Southern fans don't know either.
You know guys, if this situation were reversed, you would absolutely be blowing a gasket. It is over and done, but the "indisputable evidence" needed to overturn the call on the field is in question here. I'm sure it will be closely reviewed by the ACC office.

they did but forgot about the Coriolis effect
Pretty much.
They definitely made the wrong call on the field (should assume a lateral on close option plays), then compounded it by making a questionable decision to overturn. But I'll take it.
