UNC kickoff at 7p

Too bad this isn't a home game. UNC last year was incredible fun.

I'm confident we can beat UNC day or night, but would've preferred a noon start.

I guess primetime is good for national exposure but we're on ESPNU...

UNC's defense is horrible. I don't see us losing this one regardless of kickoff time or stadium atmosphere. A couple quick TDs early should shut up the crowd.

There will be very little crowd there. I don't see those folks showing up at 7PM and having to drive home afterwards with the kind of season they are having.

VT handled them pretty easily. Honestly, they're probably the weakest team on our schedule besides Wofford and Tulane.

Don't sleep on UNC. They were way overrated preseason but it seems like they are becoming way underrated now. They have a truly lost defense, but they do still have enough weapons on offense that if they put a game together they can score points.

they might do a night basketball team practice just to get people to show up

You really do believe you are jinxed don't you?

The only way it'll work is if you have to sit through football game in order to receive ticket into BB arena.

Tickets will be distributed just inside the stadium at Gates 1 and 6 after the game.

It's Fall Break for UNC that weekend so there won't be a crowd. Even I won't be there (ATL what's up?!).

Close to home, I'll be there with 3 others. Already bought tickets and GT gear for one of my UNC friends. The way UNC is playing, he will be happy to wear the white & gold.

I just look at more than box scores. I've watched every UNC game this season because they are on the schedule and because all of them have been thoroughly hilarious. IMO they are just dying the death of dumb mistakes in most of their games. Against VT, in particular, they could have kept it more competitive, but they surrendered two killer turnovers on their own 16 and 10 yard lines that turned into easy TDs for VT. They also gave up a pick 6 on what looked like a very short post route that Fuller jumped (double hilarious). VT got 21 of their 34 points off a homogeneous mixture of stupidity and terrible luck from UNC.

I still feel like VT would have won even if UNC hadn't had so many critical mistakes, because the UNC defense didn't accomplish magic, but it's difficult to evaluate because VT was so far ahead that it was just killing clock midway through the 3rd. 7 of UNC's points also came on the drive resulting from one of those reliable Brewer picks that he threw out of his own end zone to the 16.

Anyway, they have great athletes at the skill positions. Nobody with obvious 1st round NFL potential just yet, but they'll be the second most talented offense we've played, behind Miami. Their OL is maybe a little on the questionable side, but their QB is still doing what he needs to do. Their defense actually played okay against VT, although at this point in the season VT is nearing peak stupidity in the Loeffler cycle, so that's difficult to evaluate as well.

I will be there. Visiting my GT graduate daughter who is in her third year of law school @ UNC.

Tickets on Stubhub are in the $60 range. I think that is high. Anyone have any idea about buying tickets around the stadium?

I always feel good about this game when we're picked to lose it in the preseason. Which is always.

Hint for buying tickets from someone who dabbles reselling on the secondary market. Always wait until the last minute. Prices will crash the last few days for all but the most important games. It isn't unusual for tickets I might get $150 for two weeks out to end up going for $75 two days before the game.

You are risking not getting a ticket (unlikely) but you'll save a bunch of money.
