Commit #21

This kid may have better balance than Laskey, watching the tape. Laskey likes to trip and fall. This kid doesn't tackle himself.

I agree he's basically another Laskey/Lyons lumbering white guy RB though. Cottrell may be faster.

If you're not going to land a 4.4-running stud, a Laskey is far from a bad choice. BB hasn't been our main problem in a while. More like DEFENSE

Also I hope he realizes he will be bald within two years at Tech

I don't understand why we keep recruiting and signing the same kid at BB: Preston Lyons, Zach Laskey, and now this kid. They'll basically all the same player.

We don't have a long list of highly recruited guys in line to become a "b-back". Again, the system DOES affect recruiting.

It would be great if comparisons weren't based on race. His style is much more like sims or days than anyone mentioned yet.

The whole point of taking him was to be the back up. At worst he's another Lyons/Laskey type. Not bad. Plus he comes in January so we get to have more than 1 scholarship B-back in the Spring.

Do agree that hes not a burner. Looks like he is a hit the hole and hope for the best kind of runner. Didn't like how he runs with the ball away from his body. Going to spend the first couple weeks at practice learning how to protect the ball. All in all if he can be another Laskey or Lyons then it is a win. Better than chasing a 4* who never makes it to campus.

Slight bump.

If you look past his goofy picture and actually watch his film, this kid looks pretty good. Of course I see the obligatory "another Laskey" comments...this kid is way more athletic than laskey, with better balance and good enough speed. He's got the frame and lower body to pack on another 20 lbs. I'm happy with this pick up.

He's underrated right now for one pretty obvious reason, but if he gets another 2500 yards this season, he will pick up a couple more low power 5 offers I think.

Call me crazy but his running style reminds me of Tebow. High effort, big guy (who will put on weight) that doesn't quite have the break-away speed.

was this guy named by Dr. Seuss?

Good luck. Good Choice. And Go Jackets!
