Looking at things from the other side......are we just a difficult fan base to please?

We're a hard fan base to please, but it's not like we've been asking for national championships. We just want better than 7 win seasons. We've already eclipsed that this year with an opp to win 10+ games though, so I'm pleased.

I think Roof just needs to get some better players out there. We can't fire a D Coordinator every 2 years. At some point it isn't coaching, it's talent. I'm optimistic about this year's class, and about some of the young guys (Gamble, PJ Davis, etc.)

I mean, it's always hard to judge a defense after the retarded amount of attrition we had along the line. I also think Roof gets too much of the blame at times and the assistant coaches too little.
 
Are defensive players generally dumber than offensive ones? We don't have any trouble getting good offensive players.

The scheme makes them better than they are. We don't have the same advantage in defense.
 
Overall, Roof is pretty good. If he could improve against up tempo and spread play, we would really be a complete picture on defense.
 
Add Whitehead and Jabari to the defense and we're probably undefeated

So why can't CPJ develop a D scheme to give us an advantage there too. Seems like he is only doing half of his job, eh?:rolleyes:
 
If we could get Auburn DL depth, or just overall Auburn depth on defense, we would be undefeated right now.
