Extend PJ now.

Can somebody post the contents of the Southern game thread in here and then ask all the haters to STFU and EABOD?

Question is which is a bigger distraction going into the uga game: not extending the contact or working through contact negotiations?

And as I said in my letter to the GTAA when I didn't renew, it's not because I have no faith in our coach. I have no faith in the school and GTAA to support the coach.

Too much time spent listening to George Michael. You've quit believing in faith and the privacy of public urinals.

Nooooo, wait until after signing day. Lots of things could happen and never, EVER, forget the mistake we made with hewitt

If CPJs teams didn't take massive dumps at the end of most seasons (UGA and bowl) I'd say he deserves an extension now, but I say way wait to see if we are just going to get more of the same this year or not. Those two losses always kill enthusiasm for the following year for a lot of the fan base.

Wow, we could be happy and United about being 9-2 or we could be a prick to our own fan base. Looks like you chose the latter
CPJ has a 2 year for ~6 million contract left, by the end of december that's going to get bumped up to 4+ years for 10+ million whether it's GT that does it or someone else.

There isn't time until February (signing day).

Easy now....we have nice opportunistic defense that needed our turf to knock out their QB yesterday. We were on the ropes with GSU & VT, and have used a ton of turnovers to beat not-awesome ACC competition.

This year looks like the others, except that we've caught huge breaks in almost every game. I'm a big CPJ fan and am celebrating this year because it's a 9 win year, but we're a few bounces from 7-4 or worse.

Extend 1 year? Fine. Want more than that? Win a conference title or beat uG, who looks unbeatable right ow.

Why doesn't he do this on non-contract years? Tack on a year or two at the same base and throw in some bonuses. Do not CPH ourselves. There is a non-existent market for him. Who is going to pay more?

With all due respect, we're also a few bounces from 11-0, your point is well made of course (just as in the case of Auburn last year) but this is a good time for a positive take ...

SMU offered him a large contract last time around. They are looking for a coach again. Kansas would be tempted by trying CPJ's success.

Both those schools and others looking for a coach can offer 4 years for 10+ million.

I didn't say give him auto-extension like CPH. That's your straw man.

9-2 and coming off the best win of the year by far, and yet still people conjure up reasons to be unhappy. Sad.
Some people aren't happy unless they have something to be unhappy about. Even if they have to make stuff up.

9-2 ...3-0 against the Big Four, with the biggest one to come. A chance to win 10 games ...and how often has that happened in the last 50 years?
