I made some jokes on Twitter comparing NC State to the Starks, including a request that our band play The Rains of Castamere to begin the game. Nobody thought it was funny. Pretty devastating.

With regard to the predictions, it's par for the course at this point.Every year is the year the Hokies re-re-realize their potential, obviously The U is back and North Carolina finally has the players they need in place while we just don't have the playmakers.
we didnt' in 2010...They didn't even pick us to win in 2009 or 2010, did they?
Ha, outstanding. Every year we have been underestimated, but this is the first season that it seemed to make sense that we would be so low preseason, what with all the offseason turnover. Been awesome to see all the predictions (including my own) be completely wrong.
GRRM needs to sit his ass at a öööö typewriter and finish this thing (nerd rant over).
Not to highjack the thread -
CPJ, in my mind, would clearly be Jeor Mormont if he were in GOT. Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. Dabo would be Ser Dontos, the king's fool.
we didnt' in 2010...
2008 we had really low predictions.
Oh, gotcha. My bad.I'm saying they didn't give us credit in 2009 for our 2008 season, nor in 2010 for 2009. My point being that I don't think it matters how well we do to the people that predict this conference.
Richt as Hodor?

In fairness, Virginia Tech was ranked really high going into 2009, we had lost to them the previous year, and we had finished the season getting blown out by an LSU team finishing up its worst season in several years. Even with all that said, we were ranked around #15 preseason, which I think is pretty close to where we ended up after the Iowa loss.
Tech will still be picked to finish 4th in the coastal next season. They never learn.
