I'm not sure if I can contort this into happening, but the basic crux is that we beat UGA in Athens and win the ACC but are left out of the playoffs and then are pitted against UGA again in Orange Bowl as SEC #2, after they win SECCG close.

(in this scenario the playoff is as follows: #1 Oregon, #2 Ohio State, #3 Baylor, #4 SEC West/Arkansas/TCU/FSU)

The Orange Bowl is able to bypass rematches, but not REQUIRED to do so.

Is this even possible? How would you feel about it? Would it make you angry? Sad? Disappointed? Does your relationship with your family have any effect on how it makes you feel? How old were you when you were first touched? Do you know of any UGA fans who would be excited by this prospect? Does this appeal to you in any way?

No I have nothing better to do. That being said that doesn't mean that I'm not a unique gift to the world along with everyone else! I love my family and all Jacket fans equally just like my parents love me! Merry Christmas!

Why would this make me sad? Because the dwags won or because we have a rematch? I know dwag fans, but I try to not discuss football with them, because they are all condescending as öööö and I have a tough time not losing it on someone.

A chance to beat them twice in one year (under your scenario) sounds ok to me. F them. It'd probably be better though if we didn't face them again, as beating two SEC teams would probably be better for our ranking at the end of the year.

Pretty pie in the sky bud, but going 3-0 from here, against 2 sec teams and a defending national champ, would be a helluva season. I don't think my liver would survive the celebrations.

If the Dwags won the SEC CG, why would they be SEC #2? Because CFP poll?

At any rate, I would not want to play any team we have already played in a bowl game. I want to play some B1G team or Pac-12 team and smack them around to show ACC dominance.

I think if the SEC #1 goes to the playoff despite losing to UGA or UGA ends up as the SEC #1 and gets left OUT of the playoffs they could end up in the Orange Bowl since the Sugar Bowl is a semifinal...

I'm not sure how it all shakes out, or if it's possible. But I feel like if the Orange Bowl COULD do it, they would be very tempted to. Especially if round 1 in Athens was a great game. I know the Peach bowl didn't in 2008, but I think that was more due to the lack of travel.

I agree I wouldn't want a rematch of a regular season opponent.
 
This can't happen, if UGA was to win the SEC Championship they would go to the game that gets the SEC #1 team. I also doubt that the Orange bowl would pick a 10-3 UGA Team for a rematch when they could get Alabama or Miss St from the West with an 11-2 record.

I would say that assuming Alabama get the West Championship and loses the Championship game that an 11-1 Miss. St. team is would be considered the SEC #2

ah but the contracted bowl for SEC #1 is (I believe) hosting the Semifinal which I think makes it possible OR!!! the SEC West team that sits out of the SECCG could sneak in as SEC #1 based on playoff ranking? But that might factor into our position relative to FSU.

Like I said I don't know if it's possible, but would you relish the opportunity to beat the Dwags twice, or bemoan the fact that we have to play a rematch instead of playing a different great team.
 
I don't worry about things that I can't control. If we get rematched with Georgia in a bowl, so be it. All I care about is that we keep on winning.

If it did happen and we won, that would be great. Can't complain about beating Georgia twice in a season.

If we split, then that would tarnish the earlier win and neither of us would really have any bragging rights.

If we lose both, well that would suck.
 
If a 3-Loss UGAG wins the SEC-CG (vs Bama or MissSt),
no way in Hell...ANY...SEC team makes it to CFP.

NO...WAY...IN...HELL.
 
Mentioning GT and the playoffs this year is hysterical idiocy. We're öööö lucky to be where we are today. Enjoy it.
 
I read that the Orange Bowl has the option to pass on the top ranked available SEC or BIG 10 team if it creates a rematch. I assume the OB would pass on UGA in the event they are the highest ranked available team since we had just played them (in the scenario where we are playing.)
