The beginning of the big SEC run was after Tech beat UGA and the SEC refs were attacked outwardly by the SEC conference. These ACC refs were horrible and our conference should do the same!!!

You do realize that it was an SEC crew today, right?

Which ACC refs? Every ACC/SEC game today had ACC refs except Tech-UG.

It was an SEC crew. Same one that did the Ugag/Vandy game.

Not sure why the visiting team brings the refs deal stopped.

That would be correct. Tech-Ugag and UF-FSU have home team's conference supply the officials. Not sure about Clempsen-Sakerlina.

When did this start? As far as I knew, away team in a OOC game always supplies the refs.

These rivalry games are notable exceptions. I think there were some abysmal calls one year in UF-FSU that started it. COFH had visitor conference refs as late as 2007, I think, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Officiating needs to be removed from the conferences and regionalized by NCAA. We're seeing some of that. B1G, MAC, and MVFC (FCS) share some crews, and the ACC and Big South (FCS) do, too. That's how Jeff Flanagan, who was in Tallahassee today and called the 2009 ACCCG also called the last FCS title game, but officially represented the Big South.

Wow, I am dead wrong. They were SEC refs and they were the ones who were suspended after the Vandy/UGA game. I hadn't realized that that had changed.

And the allowance of rushing over the center during kicks is ridiculous but the Thomas fumble was out of this world.

Can't believe we still have crews assigned to conferences. I get keeping it regional but there is no reason for the sec or acc to have their own crews.
