Fact: ACC > SEC

The fact that this article is being written is progress. We aren't going to change perceptions in 2 seasons, but these two seasons are helping. I could see the SEC having a losing record in bowl games pretty easily. ACC needs to take care of business (again) which means GT really needs to come through in the OB this year.

No way in hell Pollack refers to UGA as the SEC's 5th best team in any other scenario other than defending the SEC. IMO UGA is anywhere from the 2nd-4th best team.

Plus, there's nothing "sudden" about it. ACC is 10-8 against P5 teams while SEC is 5-6. Let me say that again: the SEC has literally only beaten 5 teams from other major conferences. All of this pumping of the SEC has been based on beating other teams within the conference.

Didn't UGA destroy the 2 teams it played from the West?

The third best team in the SEC East has 6 wins. Same as the last place team in the SEC West. The East was down (again) this year and has been for several years since Meyer left Florida.

David Pollack looks like Tom Hanks at the end of Philadelphia. That's all I have to contribute.

That is a great Article. I can't believe it is on the ESPN site, too. I also can't believe Pollack is still tweeting this crap. I let it go from Sat, but this from today? ACC worst of the power 5 by who's opinion?

Things will change when the SEC goes to a 9 game conference schedule.

Wait that won't happen because Slive is chickenshit.

DPollack be trollin.

I honestly don't think so. Going back to when he was on 790, I've never heard him be the type to play devil's advocate or say anything other than what he actually thinks. I don't think he's capable of trolling.

He based it on their ESPN power ranking where the ACC pulled within .1 of Big Ten this week. A

nother quote from ESPN

"Georgia Tech's win against Georgia was the fourth time this season an ACC team knocked off a top-10 non-conference opponent (Virginia Tech against Ohio State, Boston College against USC and FSU against Notre Dame were the others). The other four Power-5 leagues had just two wins against non-conference top-10 foes combined this season (both by the Pac-12).

Cowherd just took a steamer all over the SEC on 790.

What did he say? Cause he has been heavy on the SEC forever and defended ESPN's spin on them since the season began. He said that there has been no bias towards the SEC.

The issue is that if SEC West isn't the best conference (taking divisions as conferences), then who is the best conference? SOMEBODY has to fill that slot. The PAC-12 South with USC's loss to BC?

The SEC West doesn't have a perfect OOC record, but there is just no way at looking at how the SEC West did on OOC overall versus other conferences and not deciding they're the best overall division.

Warning, AA article.

This is pretty awesome, really surprised to see this come from the same place the problem started.

Even with the spin, this is the only way to get noticed. The ACC has started winning the games they need to win. But it has to be sustained, and it will never be acknowledged by some. But at least we are to the point where it can't be ignored.

All that says is that they are comparable. Period. So our win is pooh-poohed as being against the "5th best team in the SEC"--the one that thought they would be in the final four? You can't swing both ways, Pollack, even though I have suspicioned for a long time that you do.
