We suck against read option teams. My only fear.

I think we got this one.

MSU has a good d line. Good thing we finally have a solid O-Line. I think this will be a good game.

This team deserves the Orange Bowl just as much as in '09. We lost the ACC Championship, but to a much better team than '09 Clemson.

They are much better than Michigan state so it'll be a tougher game but a more impressive win if we can get. öööö the sec!

This is a good opportunity for the SEC to earn respect by beating a top ACC team.

Miss. State is not much better than Michigan state. If they're better at all.

The problem here is that Dak Prescott is like Logan Thomas only talented.

Yeah I'm not fond of this matchup at all. But at least it will give us some good practice reps against the read option. Should pay dividends for the future.

From what I've seen this year I'd say they are. Michigan state played 2 good teams and got ripped to shreds by both. Miss state has some good players up front, mobile Qb that's tough to tackle, good running back, solid receivers. Much more of a challenge than Michigan state imo.

Worst matchup we could get. They are huge and beating them only matters if you're an SEC team. On the bright side... If we win they will have another quality loss.

Don't forget we'll supposedly have jhd back on the DLine, that's truly the root cause of our defensive problems

I have seen State 5 times this year, So Miss (blowout), LSU (State destroyed them), Auburn (ditto), Alabama (even game, State outgained them +100), & Ole Miss (Ole Miss played lights out both off & def). State's front 7 are BIG & powerful. NFL level talent at DT, DE & LB. Lots of great athletes on D. Very skrong against the run. Pass def is avg.

Offense is spread option with both Dak and Robinsion running the ball. Unstoppable for most of the season. They throw the ball effectively with several big, fast receivers. O-line is above average.

Bottom line, State is a big, physical team on par with Alabama.

Given the intangibles, might just be an even game!

Miss state fans, just perusing their boards, think GT is the best possible match up.

The reasons they site their confidence is due to their strong front 7 and PJs bowl record being not great.

Man, Tech fans go immediately to bigcry no matter what.

With all the SEC West stuff this year, this is a big opportunity. They have only lost to Bama and the one team that beat Bama. Michigan State still has this second-class feel to it since many pundits group football teams into three classes: SEC, then Big 12 and PAC 12, then ACC and Big 10. It's a big chance to upset that order.

My brother played for Miss.St. in the late 60's so we both follow their teams thru the yrs. He almost went to Tech during Carson's tenure but just missed a scholly. (would have been a dream come true) This yr. i told him early on that they were the best team i had seen up to then. Gonna be a TOUGH game--of course we both will be cheering hard for Tech.
