This thing was more or less over by the 4th quarter. Jackets rule.

nice graphs and such. I believe the Thomas to Waller TD is mislabeled. It should be the spike towards the end of the first quarter.

What he has labeled as the Waller TD now is our good drive up until the interception.

Tell that to Baylor and Pitt. I guess you could also throw W. Kentucky in that mix, but they did end up winning.

None of those teams played against GT. Well, one of them did, but that game was over in the middle of the first quarter.

There are four columns in the graph, each representing a quarter. Therefore, what you said makes no sense.

Maybe I haven't worded it properly.

Currently a point in the middle of the second quarter is labeled as the Waller TD.

That event happened at the end of the first quarter.

I believe the event currently labeled as Waller's TD catch is actually the long pass completion to Waller for a first down during the drive that ended in an interception during the 2nd quarter.

If not for that hail mary, it isn't even a game.

The hail mary and/or the fumble. Take those away in the 1st half and they're looking at a blowout of embarrassing proportions. I can't even remember too many breaks that we had in our favor. We just made plays on the 3rd down (when we needed 3 downs) and they just couldn't.

JT also had an interception on a ball he was throwing away....again...

I'm watching the game again now. I can't get over how hard our guys were hitting fools. I think they had Miss St scared after the first play.

This crap drove me crazy. Give us the fumble (GT TD since they couldn't stop us and wipe out their FG that they got), and then take away the Hail Mary, we win 56-24. Of course I'm happy we won, but when playing the SEC, you can never run it up enough in my book.

I could watch the first 3 plays of defense on loop. We were crackin fools from the first whistle.

Yeah....when that happened the guy next to me started yelling for Byerly. :eekfacepalm:

The backup QB is everyone's favorite player on the team, regardless of who he is.

Seriously, though, Thomas needs to aim for the first row of seats when he's throwing the ball away. Seems like an easy thing to fix, and I'm sure he will.

ESPN published some stat before the game that said MSU had a 65% chance of winning. I think they called it PFI or STTE.

ESPN has a state called FPI they use (and they give to the CFP selection committee to use).

That Stat has:

  • GT as the #19 team in the country
  • Georgia as the #5 team in the country
  • 5 SEC teams in the Top 10, including Miss State and Ole Miss
  • 9 SEC teams in the Top 25, including Florida and has 7-6 Arkansas as a Top 15 team
