Yep, allowing both teams to duck what turned out to be superior teams in the four team playoff. BCS is demonstrated to have always been broken because it built in the bias.

Every conference needs a single champion and every conference needs to be represented with that winner. Fill out the field however you want, BCS ranking, committee choice, rock -paper -scissors, stadium size, .... As long as no conference champion is left out it is fair enough for me.
