Darren Waller Shrine Game Update

At least the kid can catch. The last WR we put in the NFL primarily because of measurements and combine stats was a total bust and is an embarrassment to the school by his remarks on our offense. I'm still pissed about Stephen Hill.... The kid acted like our offense held him back, then he got in the NFL and had the same problems he had in our offense - making plays.

If Waller can put out a good combine and gain 20 pounds which would maybe convince the NFL scouts he is TE ready, you know that he will get in there and make plays. He stepped up for us when we needed him.
Hill will always be a mystery. A guy who could make out of this world catches and out of this world drops, in the same game. Nothing so challenged him as being wide open, as he often was. Too bad.

I thought it was BOR's piss that had to be drunk?

So nobody remembers who made the bet? Was it one of those guys who disappears whenever we're doing well?

gt2690b (or some variation thereof) made the bet. Someone has the terms in their signature.

I remember a certain former GT runningback saying the same thing.
The more one thinks about Dwyer the more it seems that GT was the only offense in which he could excel, as it required very little blocking from B back: his contribution was mostly having tacklers hit him by mistake.

Yeah it was me.. This bet was like 4 years ago terms have pretty much expired...waller wasn't starting when bet was made but I would say shaq mason would technically count... I was more referring to skill players at the time of the bet but I will eat crow for shaq he is a baller

Nice try.

The bet is not that old and the terms you agreed to are different:
I bet $100 that at least one of our offensive players that played in 2012 and are coming back next year will be drafted.

Out of Mason, Braun, Greene, Waller, Autry, Snoddy, Vad, multiple will probably be drafted.

I will take that bet.. none of those guys listed get drafted.. they are not nfl caliber. . Fact

Don't remember waller starting that year.. Will have to go look...

Edit: wow I guess he did start back then.. Nice.. Hope he gets drafted

$100? I thought that this was a piss drinking bet?

not the best passes by Boone. Waller targeted twice. Both touched his hands. 2 "drops".

Judge's ruling after instant replay:

$100 owed to Mtown, pending NFL draft

I think we have had more starting WRs make it to the NFL than not.

NFL:
Calvin
Cone
Hill
Smelter (probable)
Thomas
Waller (probable)

No NFL:
Earls (did he start? can't remember)
McKayhan
Melton
Moore (did he start? can't remember)

Doesn't count:
Greene (transferred)

Forgot this guy.

Did Waller get injured? He played that first drive and I don't think I saw him on the field for another play

Waller hasn't been drafted yet. You should wait to pull the "I know it all" card until after he is drafted. I've seen many a player get hyped only to be left out on draft day.
