Schedule

Fall weddings can die in a fire.

Likely will have to miss both uga and Pitt this year.

VT on Thursday late in the year may be a blessing - get a bye and extra rest before Miami and Georgia.

Overall, schedule is a B+ to A- in strength, and it is nice to see we get level playing fields with most opponents not getting advantageous scheduling prior to playing us. I am definitely looking forward to getting revenge on FSU this year.

Gonna be a cold Thursday night game late in the season and probably the white out.

Thursday night game vs VT in November -

Cold as all get out -

36 hours before kickoff - " hey kids, we need a white out game!"

I'm getting married the 7th of November. Luckily, that fall's on the week (technically the week before) of the VPISU game. Nice.

FWIW, does anyone else think that ND/GT may have a slight chance to be game day?

Two ööööing Thursday home games? :furious:

8 straight weeks of tough games. Brutal.

Decent November schedule though.

I like the schedule - it was going to be tough with the teams on the schedule and only one bye week this year. But, the toughest two week stretches would be the trips to ND and Duke and the last two with the U and UGA. That's not terrible. We'll need to get at least two win in these two pairs of games. If we do, we ought to go 9-3 or 8-4. But, the really good thing is that the team looked strong enough at the end of this season that I believe we can beat anyone on this schedule. It will be fun.

No - make Pitt the homecoming game. Attendance gets a bump for homecoming, a bump that we won't need for F$U.

öööö that. I'm not flying from utah to see us play Pitt. Homecoming game against vpisu was prob the best gameday atmosphere I had in my 8 years at Tech.

A very slight chance in my opinion.

So far we compete with Oklahoma @ Tennessee and LSU @ Mississippi State

screwed for the rest of your life. congratulations.

Well at least it will make much more sense to just take the Friday off for Alcorn State and enjoy a 4 day weekend.

I mentioned just above, don't underestimate the difficulty of playing 8 weeks in a row. The injuries are going to pile up, and there's no time for recovery and rest.

Guys are gonna be tired toward the end of October.

Really good schedule for making an ACC Coastal run. We get our toughest two division opponents at the end of the season with extra time before both.

The downside is we have a big game against a physical team the week before UGA.

The line-up of teams we have to play is pretty brutal, but we knew that before today. Will probably be one of the toughest schedules in the country.

You got lucky...but why do you hate your friends and family?

UGAg plays Kentucky. Florida plays Vandy. That covers my friends teams. Plus, you don't think there'll be TVs there? Come on.

A very slight chance in my opinion.

LSU/MSU will get it over us. 100%. Hell, MSU will probably be ranked over us too.
