Brad Stewart

There is 0 justification to switch from GT to Arkansas. Last 3 seasons: 2-6 SEC, 0-8 SEC, 2-6 SEC. GT is a top 10 team with the legitimate potential to make a run in the next 2 years. Arkansas has fewer players in the NFL than GT (especially at WR). Arkansas has a far less valuable degree and is in a less desirable city. GT will be thinner at WR, so a chance to be a play maker earlier. He'll get single coverage at GT and will put up crazy numbers. He'll learn to block and will get a look from the NFL (like Waller and Smelter). Coaching situation is much more stable at GT than Arkansas.

- 0 justification? To who? People have different views about things.
- fewer players in NFL. Thought that was not a justification to go to a school.
- far less valuable degree? Probably, but in what field? And my degree has never spent one day in the field, factory or behind a desk. I determine my value by how hard I work and sacrifice.
- less desirable city? In which person's opinion? You remind me of a guy on our bus charter to the 2009 ACCCG. We stopped at a small town towards south Ga. to get some eats. While waiting in line, this dickwad was running his mouth about in rednecks, Podunk city, ignorant people, could not be successful from there, on & on. Then a member of our group asked him if all his vile crap applied to one of our starters who came from that town.

Hope we get the young man to come to GT, but if he does not, that does not mean where he goes is as you described.

He's 100% not coming.

that's too bad. I greatly dislike metro-area elitists. That being said the opportunities to be financially successful in most small towns are severely limited...but sometimes those kind of opportunities aren't what people are looking for.

He probably was raised in such a place and "escaped" and feels the need to beat his chest about it.

Much of what happens with recruiting is confidential information, so you can't really know what's going on despite what athletes say and the media reports. For example, kids can commit and then discover there are academic obstacles that might interfere with their plans. Parents and peers have a big influence on what they do. Since so much of it is private, it's pointless to speculate on someone's motivations or judge their decisions.

Better or worse than Corey Dennis?

Will Stewart commit to Georgia Tech? His father politely declined to answer the question, saying that they were in the process of contacting Brad’s finalists, including Yale, Georgia Southern, Furman, Mercer and Appalachian State.

That reads as "I want to give the other schools the respect of hearing from Brad that we will not be going there rather than reading it on AJC." Looking like he'll be a Jacket.

The only school on there that makes any sense is Yale, and considering that they don't offer athletic scholarships, I'm not too worried about them.

I hope he isn't waiting to see what other offers might come in during the next 16 hours. After what he said about ugag after a visit he has been a dwag all his life. Dwags still have time to consider Carvell's constant hyping him as top 10 overall in the state.

I'll be happy with whomever chooses Georgia Tech tomorrow.
