Kidding aside, hope we hang onto Pelton. He seemed to be making a positive impact. Continuity is usually a good thing.

I'm also proud no one's brought up Giff Smith. I'm so tired of folks pining for that guy.
 
They are probably showing him how much money he will make selling Meth on the side. Hopefully he wants to stay in the first world.
 
It was not long ago when Al Groh was making 300k as DC. Tenuta used to make $550k as DC and that was one of the higher salaries in the nation. Assistant pay has gotten crazy.

Wish it wasn't true, but those are the facts. If he wasn't considering it, he would not interview.
 
Well I mean the guy has been a good recruiter. And he has done good things for us. But let's not act like he is irreplaceable. We have a very veteran staff and I'm sure that we'll find a good replacement. The football program is moving north, and Bobinski knows that. Maybe we'll match the offer, and if not, develop a good offer to get a great replacement.
 
This is a guy we need to do everything we can to keep. I would hope that we would not lose him over $100K.

Groh making 300 was a bi-product of his UVA buyout

Half the time people are interviewing it's to negotiate a better contract where they are at. But I do think if we don't counter-offer he will leave.
 
He has obviously done a good job, if you win assistants come and assistants go. He can and will be replaced. I hope he stays.
 
Just waited for our DL recruits to sign on the dotted line didn't he... :hsugh:
