Lol you can't make this up.

UGA fans talked all weekend about hiring Hines Ward then this morning the AJC breaks that UGA hired some dude from Stanford....RB coach I think to replace their recently vacated WR coach position. Immediately UGA fans on various boards turn on Hines "he had no coaching experience anyways and is just a name" to "this new coach is a hire of Pruitt and Pruitt is turning UGA into Tuscloosa east and this WR coach has been the missing piece on the road to glory for the past 35 years".

Now...get this öööö....apparently the AJC prematurely shot their load and the deal wasn't done and Stanford got word of it and gave the coach a bigger contract and he took it. So basically UGA just got instant Roquan'd by the AJC.

If this is all true...total hilarity so far for the Bulldogs offseason.

Full disclosure....I hope this thread does not turn into my tuitt'd thread. I think I waited for more credence this time at UGAs expense which is always ok.

The current article on AJC.com lists a new coach from Wisconsin. AJC ran with the story after someone had a phone call with the guy and told the AJC second hand that he accepted the position. That's a hell of a lot of journalistic integrity - exactly what I'd expect from uGA graduates.

Lol the app version of the AJC still has the story up.

I heard they're promoting their RB coach to WR coach and getting Thomas Brown to come be the RB coach from Wisconsin.

When Thomas Brown was last employed at UGA in 2011, his job was to be Isiah Crowell's baby sitter and to make sure he stayed out of trouble. Let's hope he turns in another stellar performance with his new job!

how would we know if you read it or not. did you?

I like you, but that's a snark fail.

I said "did I read right". Obviously I read it, was there something wrong in what I read? I believe what I read was incorrect. Seems that way.
