solid player, not a pure pass rusher elite guy like a pierre paul etc. But a good every down player and can play the strong or weakside. If they add morgan, I think they need one more edge rusher that is situational, passing downs only type, where you can move morgan inside or beirman inside and add this guy to edge rush. That can be a guy that is tall but thinner and quick as hell...maybe you draft him if you land morgan....

Falcons will be getting an edge rusher at #8 in the draft unless 1-7 are all DEs. I'm hoping for Beasley

Morgan to Tampa ... ?
Yeah...since he left, I figure he wont sign with ATL. It would have been wild to see him on one side and ATL sign Micheal Johnson as well for the other....

Yep. I've heard both names this week as possible signings. Derrick is a free agent and Michael is about to be cut or has already due to cap space. I was really hoping atlanta would sign DMorg. Atlanta is really screwing the pooch this free agency period.

He's just doing his due-diligence like any good Tech man would do. Just because he left ATL doesn't mean anything.

Michael Johnson too. Twitter told me he's not talking with teams until he finishes some exams at Tech this week.

I guess Morgan is out for the Falcons with the Adrian Clayborn signing.

Signing? I saw he visited but no signing that I'm aware of....
Atlanta Falcons twitter account reported that Clayborn has been signed (Clayborn's account as well). Are those good enough sources?

That is a lot of money for a pass rusher with 23.0 sacks in 5 seasons.

I always thought he'd be better than this in the pros. I'm glad he is getting paid... just glad it isn't my team at these figures.

I was really hoping he'd end up on a different team with a different defensive scheme. I would like to see what he could do in the league as a DE in a 4-3 instead of an OLB in a 3-4.

Just to add, I consider myself a Titans fan and it's nice having him stay on the team. But I'm a Tech fan first, and I'd rather see one of our former athletes have the chance to be great on another team, than be just good on the team I follow.

He is not a 3-4 OLB.

I thought he was a prototypical 4-3 DE when he came out. Had good size against the run and was a good enough pass rusher.

I haven't followed his career too closely other than to occasionally check his stats. How long has he been playing 3-4 OLB, and is Tennessee swtiching from that? Seems like a lot of money to give to a square peg-round hole type player.
