Now that JT is a proven potent weapon, I think defenses will try to "play physical" with him more this year. He could very well get dinged up.

Need to keep Byerly primed and ready to go and yes I would like to see him get more PT even if the outcomes have been decided.

Yes yes this would be a new take on how to play defense.

So play "physical" against the starting QB you say? As if they are an important part of the offense, and perhaps by taking them out you could increase your chance of winning.

This video of some kids getting physical with a greased pig shows what defenses are going to do to JT this year:

I also dread the day that Defensive Coordinators stumble upon the concept of instructing their players to tackle the man who possesses the football. Even Byerly will be unable to save us then.

I remember some Duke kid getting physical with JT doing the aligator death roll after he was already down. Too bad running QBs don't get the same protection as passing QBs unless you are Tyrod Taylor.

Byerly is one of if not the best back up QB's in America. You should have seen him last night. He was öööö good. It's a shame he will not get a chance to display his talent as a college football QB. A great insurance policy for us but kind of sucks for him.

Byerly is a stud. Will never forget how he almost pulled something out of his ass and won that Duke game for us. He'll play a good bit this year.

Equivalent to looking at the 9th inning of a baseball game and saying "wow that base runner is a stud, he just stole the hell out of that base" on defensive indifference.

I was going to ask him if there was an award for best backup QB but forgot.
If there is, I'm pretty sure it's sitting in the trophy case of the most recent national champions.
