Joe Perdoni, nephew of Rock Perdoni, attended GT on football scholarship for the 95, 96, 97 seasons. He left a huge impression on anyone he met, maybe the funniest person Ive ever met. He also came off the ball pretty öööö hard. He finished his playing career at Northeastern I believe and was running a pizzeria up in Boston area. He leaves behind a wife and 2 young children and hundreds of friends. I havent spoken to him in awhile but I was hoping to go surprise him up in Boston. He will be missed is an understatement. I was lucky and proud to call him my friend.

Wow, so sorry to hear that, Nate. Remember Joe from the GOL days. Prayers to his family and loved ones.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your friend.

very sad for someone to go that young. prayers for his family and friends.

Nate
Sorry for the family's and your loss. The Perdoni name is GT royalty and we hate to see a good Tech man go so soon.

BTW, where have you been? We miss you around here.

Sorry to hear about Joe's death - prayers for his family and friends.

I checked out his Old School Pizza website. What happened? He was killing it and it appears that at least it can support his family. That's the best thing that could happen, to support his family with all the 18 hour days he put in.

so sad to hear RIP

wonder what happened? I know in the past at this age we have had people and friends that passed due to enlarged heart issues etc. Jason Collier comes to mind...

I dont think anything has been ruled a cause as of yet....he was doing well enough from what I knew

IIRC there have been a few players from that great defense who have passed prematurely.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe’s memory to the Joe Perdoni Family Trust for the benefit of his children, Joseph and Reece Perdoni, c/o Joseph Perdoni Sr. 6 Francis St. Wellesley, MA 02482.

Condolences to all the Perdonis, a great Tech family. Way back in the day, when Rock (the original "The Rock") stalked North Avenue, there was a pizza joint right there facing the connector. Some of you might remember it. They used to have a colossal pizza that, if you could eat it all by yourself, was free. A Tech buddy told me Rock Perdoni (or "Rock Pardoni," as he said it--this guy was from way down in South Georgia) would go in there about twice a week and clean the place out. I think that deal came off the menu after a few weeks. Sad as I was to read this news, I smiled just a little when the pizzeria angle was mentioned. Great family, and a loss for the GT family.

I had a class with Rock. He was always friendly and was a character. Back in those days, students knew many of the team from classes.

Very sorry to hear about Joe's passing.
