1. Virginia: at UCLA, Notre Dame, William & Mary, Boise State

2. Stanford: at Northwestern, UCF, Notre Dame

3. Michigan: at Utah, Oregon State, UNLV, BYU

4. Virginia Tech: Ohio State, Furman, at Purdue, at ECU

5. Georgia Tech: Alcorn State, Tulane, at Notre Dame, Georgia

6. Utah: Michigan, Utah State, at Fresno State

7. Northwestern: Stanford, Eastern Illinois, at Duke, Ball State

8. Texas: at Notre Dame, Rice, California

9. Michigan State: at Western Michigan, Oregon, Air Force, Central Michigan

10. Pittsburgh: Youngstown State, at Akron, at Iowa, Notre Dame

Someone at SportingNews thinks Notre Dame is the real deal.

I hate Va Tech, but I hope they beat Ohio State again.

It was their first huge moment of last season. And, of course, the second was:

VT will be hard for us to beat this year. We had the benefit of a turnover prone QB and no RBs, but they get their RBs back this year and all of their D-Line is on the Nagurski watch list.

But we had VT when we were still struggling those first 3 games. If we had played them later in the year it would've been a 3 score game.

Also, we have the toughest overall schedule in the ACC, imo.

Man i think we take em in bad way. But as seasons wear on you cant predict injuries so who knows.

I'm never comfortable with the VT game. Defensively, they always play us tough

Absolutely agree. I do like that this game is a bit later in the season this year (giving the offense some time to come together). I feel like they're often early in the schedule, before everything has totally gelled. Of course, it also means their defense has more time to iron out their own kinks.

VT will be a grind, as always. Nothing earth-shattering here. Their D is always stout, but we ran on them pretty well even early on when we weren't completely clicking yet. Their O, as per normal, will likely be nothing to write home about. So win the TO battle and don't make multiple mistakes to help set up their O and we likely win.

Emphasis on the VPI insurance policy that makes certain no ACC team gets selected for the playoff.

If they'd just hurry up and add ECU to the ACC already, that wouldn't be a problem. A 12-0 ECU would be a shoe in.

This is such a pile of crap. ND is an OOC game for us is a bunch of irishit !

Those azzwipes need to be told to get in 100% or go to hell. Don't give me any of that crap about even numbered years when we play ND on a day of the week that ends in a "z" that it will count as a conference game.

We need to add some big time teamS that we can convince will be a benefit to them in all sports. (Uconn, navy, elon, cincy,Tulane, etc are not them)

And, if nothing else, if ND is an OOC game, we should go ahead and diversify more with games vs tex, OK, USC, PSU, OR and teams like that. Tell ND to FO. And tell the chick Stoken to eat his own azz; and we play these games the first game of the season on the road if need be.

ööööööö, Virginia never does themselves any favors with their ridiculous NC schedules. They need to take a page out of Duke's book. When a program is struggling that bad put 4 easy ones on the schedule, and see if you can hack two off in the conference for a bowl birth. It gives the kids something to look forward too and it worked for Duke.

Can't argue with this logic. But it did seem like their offensive got worse as the year ran on. Let's see if that happens again. Also I think most of their issues were from having a ööööty OL. Any improvement there?

Is bs. Outside of maybe UCLA, ugag is better than anyone else for a #2 if you count ND as a #1.
