MBob Q&A in Atlanta Business Chronicle

We have UGa and FSU at home. Throw in VT and UNC that draw pretty good crowds. I think Pitt drew a good crowd a few years back.

This is just a good home schedule.

I imagine having a good/entertaining football team helps a little.

I think Pitt was homecoming in '13.

Yeah the schedule helps a lot, but so does coming off an 11-win season. Just have to keep carrying the momentum.

MBob wants more sidewalk fans. I am not sure how I feel about that.

I know exactly how I feel...I welcome them with open arms!!

"Sidewalk" fans are a true blessing, especially to a place like GT where we have a small alumni base and many of those alums that we have could care less about athletics.

It is the addition of "sidewalk" fans that fill up the stadium, allow us to "travel" to good bowl games, and puts GT merchandise on the shelves.

Yeah on one hand it puts more money into the pocket of the GTAA and supports the football program, as well as potentially the school's academic programs even going so far as potentially making lifelong fans and new generations of Tech alums.

On the other hand we have to deal with the uneducated masses that did not grace the halls of Tech.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts

Quotes like this are what run people away from GT, that holier than thou attitude.

If those people can't pick up on sarcasm, I don't want them as Tech fans.

[was my post sarcastic? was GTCrew4b's post sarcastic? was your post sarcastic? was Buckeyejacket's post sarcastic? enjoy sorting through the lack of inflection provided by text based conversations]

If people didn't attend and subsequently graduate from GT, then I don't want them as Tech fans.

There should be some GT fan governing body that you're required to submit transcripts to before being allowed to wear anything GT branded.
