I'm not sure this is all bad. Tim was a good insurance policy and he allowed CPJ to move Jordan to AB and redshirt Christian Campbell. Tim was only going to play during mop up and goal line situations unless JT gets hurt. If JT gets hurt we are not going to be spectacular no matter who you put in there, even though Tim gives us a fighting chance.

Hopefully Tim can come back and play but if he does not, we are forced to fast track the development of Jordan and or Campbell. That will make them better players faster than being a substitute A back and a scout team QB. That will pay dividends down the road. So you can look at this one as the glass half full or half empty. I think it can turn out good for us.

This is very bad if serious. There is nothing half full about it. TB is capable of running the offense where as MJ isn't

Hell, even if JT's helmet comes off during a play someone else would have to go in for at least 1 play.

Regardless of Tim's injury, whoever is now 2nd string has GOT to get some game experience this week

If JT goes down, our season is over. So yeah this is second worst to hearing that JT got injured.

This news is especially worrisome given our long stretch of games without a break, but I think some people are overreacting to just how bad it is...the backup QB is not supposed to play. Byerly came in for a few power runs early last season and against Duke to get JTs head straight.

He did not play otherwise.

JT came in as a change of pace or after Vad was terrible. Didn't play otherwise.

Vad came in by design in his second year here but did not play otherwise in his first year.

Tevin played all year in 2011.

Truth be told for all the Warrior talk Nesbitt missed the most snaps and we haven't really had an injury problem at QB since then.

The problem is there is only one position in this offense that isn't plug and play. Unfortunately now we have only one guy who can play. If JT goes down, next man up can't be Swilling. Did you see how he played in the 4th quarter? I had visions of Gardner Webb all over again.

Justin needs a no-contact in practice for the rest of the year. I know CPJ says that Justin still gets hit some in practice and it is a mix of both, but the stakes are a little higher now and CPJ knows it.

I don't think we were screwed at all with Byerly coming in. Now we are screwed if Thomas goes out.

With that said, Justin does a pretty good job of avoiding contact and went through 14 games last year.

I'd have to think Jordan goes back to QB fulltime regardless of the prognosis. CPJ didn't seem downbeat on the show last night. We'll just have to see. All the best to Tim!

I want to know what happened. I'm also hoping that it's nothing serious.

Only on Stingtalk does a hype train fly off the rails like a frightened squirrel due to a backup injury.

It definitely sucks. I think Byerly is better than Vad Lee ever was. The season is also definitely not over.
