Ultimately, ND's 4 & 5 star players were too much for us. Their defense dominated us physically. I think last year's class (for Tech) was solid on athletes. Still TBD on linemen and LBs.

Need to keep GT in the national spotlight as long as possible. Anything to help our brand, which should help improve talent. NEED IT!!

Win against Duke next week. We should still be a low-top 25 team after this week. Need to keep a ranking as long as possible for the publicity that brings.

We did okay against UGA's and FSU's 4 & 5 star defenders last year, as well as Mississippi State's defense full of NFL draft picks.

When 4 and 5 star guys are coached well, and they execute, we will lose without great execution almost all of the time. Fortunately for us, coaches don't always coach well, and guys don't always go out and execute what they are supposed to do. WE can overcome better talent, but we have to execute at a VERY high level, and we did NOT come close to that today.

Thomas was running for his life. I hate how he has to move around on passing plays. CPJ needs to rethink that.

It's true what you say about their players. But until we get one major we can stash illiterate 5* athletes in like every one else has, this topic is a waste of time, every time. I suggest you dont think about it because it will never happen. Ever. The BoR will never allow it. GT is eternally ööööed in that regard.

One is reminded of an old saying: "the most improvement is seen between the first and second game". Our first two games were scrimmages; we still have a lot of new pieces to get fully integrated with the scheme.

Yes it's possible to beat teams with those players, but it's a rare occurance and will never be the norm.

Well, we had substantial numbers of freshmen in the skill positions. CPJ had a pretty poor and small recruiting class among those who would be RS Sophomores or RS Juniors, and that sort of shows now.

If we had just landed Tuitt this would have never happened.

+1

I wish I could see the alternate reality where we got Tuitt. Last year's win over UGA was pretty awesome though, I'm glad fate led to that

Notre Dame recruits very intelligent players. Bitching about nowhere to stash athletes after losing to them is invalid.

Need to keep after it. Wont change over night. Talent gap was clear today, I felt.

We still need big DL in a bad, bad way. We got some DL in the last class but overall their size isn't that great. I'm worried about losing Gotsis and Hunt.

Our OL recruits for next year look good so far. 2 ESPN 4*

ND depth is ridiculous. Backups errywhere and rolling regardless :furious:

We need to have the resources to spend $100k on an "assistant to the head coach" whose job it is to make sure ND doesn't get embarasses by Navy and ipso facto us.

 Seriously, how does Navy put up 39, and we have to recover an onside kick and score a late TD to get to 22?

:bigcry:

We bobbled the ball, we ran the wrong plays, we missed field goals, punted horribly, had to watch some horrific officiating calls, our coach lost his mind, and all of our players are gay.

Recipe for disaster.
