Even though I enjoyed going to states I have never been to and seeing building and stadiums in the cities on the drive up, I will more than likely never make that drive again! It was pretty miserable - and I love driving.Yeah, I could've driven to the game.

When did you drive up? Akinji and Cyp worked Friday and then drove up all night. That's insane.Even though I enjoyed going to states I have never been to and seeing building and stadiums in the cities on the drive up, I will more than likely never make that drive again! We drove up Thursday after I got off work (my sister and brother got off work slightly before me, so they picked me up). All night, no real sleep, and a full day in Chicago to see the city and watch the Cubs. Not sure if I'll ever do that again. But it was fun, though! When did you drive up? I found the drive from Indy to South Bend to be the least painful part of Indiana. It was a straight shot up highway 31 which, while it had a little construction, was nothing like the split lane clusteröööös on I-65 between Louisville and Indianapolis. It probably also helped that our hotel for both Friday and Saturday was in Carmel, right off the highway. It was a ~2 hour trip with literally the only turn being within a quarter mile of the starting point and the destination.Drove up as well. Stayed in Scottsburg, IN Thursday night and then up to Middlebury, IN Friday. NEVER have I seen miles and miles of road construction and otherwise crap highways. There is no direct interstates from Indy up to South Bend. And freakin' corn fields everywhere and not one corn on the cob for sale anywhere.
I would NEVER drive beyond Nashville again. And driving through Louisville...what a dump!
+1. Good perspective ZuluPerspective: We have progressed as a program to the point where we almost expected--not just hoped--to beat top 10 team on the road. We are a long way from losing to a Kansas or Middle Tennessee. It could be much, much worse
I can't believe the Notre Dame fanbase doesn't chant "Rudy...Rudy...Rudy" every time they're blowing out someone.A walk on could have gotten a sack on the last play of the game.
Oh my God, the construction was horrible. Actually, I really think that in order to make the Indiana residents feel like they are getting good use of their tax money, IDOT just rolls around and throws out barrels and cones in various spots for miles and miles.Drove up as well. There's actually a very valid reason for this, all jokes aside. You see, especially in the mid-west / mid-atlantic region, the large temperature gradients between daytime and nighttime temps, coupled with fronts moving through create a situation where everyone is functionally retarded and wholly unfit to be behind a wheel. The joke up north is that they only have two seasons, "winter," and "road construction."
I like this post. I gave zulu a lot of crap before so I think it's about time I give him credit for something.Perspective: We have progressed as a program to the point where we almost expected--not just hoped--to beat top 10 team on the road.
