Just got off a flight to Miami

He's more likely to win a NC at Miami than at uGA.
Yeah, and wouldn't that seriously po Ugag fans. I don't "hate" Richt as much, it's that cesspool he coaches at that evokes the puke response.

Does this look like the face of the guy who invented swagger?

My neighbor is a very connected insider. He says there is serious smoke here. I don't want to burn my source by revealing more.
The drumbeat of discontent among the entitled dwag fanbase is growing louder and louder.... he's on a hot seat at the Athens Primate Center. I don't think he has 2 years left without a national championship with those over-expectation dwags ThugU would love to have him at least for the first four or five years before he wore his welcome out there. How long did Golden last after all?

The culture shock might kill ThugU fans though, and Reverend Richt might spontaneously burst into flames when he comes into contact with the ThugU underworld criminals.

if richt was going to talk about the miami job he sure as hell would not be on a commercial flight for all to see

its either a recruiting visit or the tanning booths in S florida are a little more potent like the sun and he will come back nice and scorched. Of course, they also have a game this week so its odd he would have left Georgia on a sunday; clearly he could have flown back that same day but its just odd. Normally coaches would not leave their school the week of the game, they would do it the prior week he had off

so the whole thing is odd if true

Coaches don't really always handle these situations the way you would expect anymore though. Think Bobby Petrino. I know that guy's a snake but the fact is that behavior by coaches and ADs when it comes to vacancies is getting stranger and stranger. This isn't nearly so strange that it's unbelievable.

so what you're saying is he's doing what's unexpected which to me would signify it's even MORE suspiscious.

its totally unexpected...if true...if he was on that plane etc...and this isn't some message board attempt at rumor mill.

week before florida I totally find this tough to believe unless it was an immediate there and back half day trip...but again...so odd...hard to find a reason that makes sense.

Miami isn't going to bring him in midseason the day they let golden go too....that is just timing classless...although it is miami.

all of it makes no sense.

I agree. But stranger things have happened so who knows. Maybe without Bobo and with the rumored strained relationship with the UGA AD, Richt is just YOLO'ing at this point...

I tell you, Richt is only in Miami, if he is at all, to pave the way for a protégé, Bobo maybe, to become the next HC there. As a "respected" alumnus and HC of a perennially pre-season National Champion, Richt is now the "king maker" for the U of Thug.

I'm going to put in a call to an old friend of mine in Coral Gables later today for the hell of it, but it'll be a while.

Hell, my friend that is a flight attendant told me he was on a flight down there during the bye too. I decided not to post about it bc 1/ I didn't trust her that she actually recognized him and 2/ it was bye week. But apparently there's a trend here.

Why would they need to bring him in mid-season? Their season is done. They'll play it out with an interim. Richt is a big name coach and it will take months of negotiation. I could see them giving him total control as a HC/AD. He's everything they could want as the man to turn the whole sports program around.

With all of the plane tracking going on, it's probably more private to take a commercial plane than a private one. A flight from Athens to Coral Gables would be spotted instantly and have a paper trail.
