I like George O'Leary and can't fault him for leaving for his dream job.

he and Ross are the only tech head coaches who left for "better" jobs.. that other guy just made a lateral move at best..

Nope. If CPJ were to leave, I would welcome back Bobby Ross too. Although I have no idea how old either of them are.

Building a time machine and bringing Ross and O'Leary in their prime back is not the same as hiring them now. Ross is very retired and though GOL is freshly so, bringing him in would be catastrophic.

He's almost 70. I believe that ship has sailed.

Played golf with Coach O'Leary a couple of times at Tech Club functions in Tampa. Seemed like a nice guy. All I know is Furman Bisher basically said "good riddance" when he left for Notre Dame--before the resume story broke. Always wondered about that.

I think Key has been a suspect in negative recruiting against the current staff, so no.

No I think he interviewed for a job with PJ in 2012 or 2013 and did not take it or was not offered.

Never heard that he was involved in negative recruiting.

Apperenly he had a pretty sweet contract.

Under the arrangement, O’Leary was to be paid $200,000 a year in the new role, under which he would not be required to render more than 12 hours of service to the athletics department in any one year.

I talked to Brent a couple of years ago, said he wanted to give the Pro's a shot but would love to someday come back to GT, never heard any negative recruiting on his part. Would love to see him come back if given the opportunity.
