It really doesn't even make sense, because as a whole we are not penalized very often at all. I don't know what it is about VT that apparently brings it out of us.

Beamer face. You just want to punch it.

Now I'm just envisioning Attaochu going into some type of trance and hallucinating Beamer's sourpuss face in place of Logan Thomas' head, forcing him to punch it on 3rd and 19 while sacking the QB.

I've suppressed the memories - what was the third one besides Joe and Attouchu?

Questionable personal foul against Michael Johnson, late hit out of bounds, in 2008. If memory serves, there were two back-to-back 15-yard penalties on that drive.

And they have been pretty easy calls to make. We just do dumb crap against VT.

Oh yeah, that sounds familiar.

Don't forget that we always pick VT as the game for some type of commemorative ceremony. They also ruined the 100th anniversary of football at Grant Field.

I really hope it is good riddance to that entire staff. Never have I seen a team sacrifice so much just to be really prepared for one team on their schedule every year. While the bye week was probably the reason, wouldn't surprise me if Beamer was waiting for our game to announce the retirement as the reason for the timing.

Has much to do with they annually have better players and consider us the team to beat to get to the ACCCG. It's pretty telling when a team located in nowheresvlille Virginia can put better athletes on the field over a team located in a college football hotbed. GT should play the game or get out.

2010 helmet to helmet call was pretty bad. More bullshit than us destroying ourselves though.

Through the Cpj tenure, it's amazing how many games have been thrown away due to bullshit and stupid plays.

Well, we had a bye week also.

And the penalty did not take points off the board, just made it more difficult to keep the ball.

Same ole, same ole. Lose a big lead, give up third down conversions on D, JT having to immediately run for his life on pass plays, OL blocking taught by a coach educated by the Stooges = 2 - 6 vs vt.

We should advertise on campus for walk-ons - they cannot do much worse. May accidentally remember some of their high-school coaching

I watched on replay. IMHO I think Joe thought it was a live ball or wasn't sure if whistle blew so tried to push the defender to the ground or jar the ball loose. I may be wrong did anyone hear comments from the kid? That's kind of how it looked to me.

Was it a late hit OB or the helmet to helmet penalty close to the sideline? The h-to-h call was close but on that play the GT player dropped his chin at the last second to where it gave the replay guys the impression that our guy was going after him with the crown of his helmet.

It was against Cooper Taylor. Bullshit call. Cooper's forearm hit the ball carrier's face mask. The call was targeting head to head. It gave VT a critical first down on 3rd & long, and they finished the drive for the winning score with about 1-2 mins left.

Not Coopers fault, but he still walked out in his team in the middle of the war.
