And as far as having more contact than usual, Richt said he knew he would be losing his job after the Florida game, the visit to Eason came after that. Could be problematic, no?

When did he say that? I heard him say the exact opposite.

Actually you may be right. If nothing else their AD said he didn't make the full decision until right after our game.

It was said by some that the decision was made based on the events leading up to the FL game but I didn't see any indication that Richt was made aware of that.

Oh, the press conference transcript I saw seemed to indicate that McGarity had spoken to Richt about it following the Florida game. I could be mistaken, I'll pull it up in a minute.

McGarity said the decision was made on his drive home from the GT game. Doesn't matter though in the case of Eason. BTW, all this you're hoping for isn't going to happen. No illegal contact made as far as we know anyay. That was the issue with the kid at LSU.

I can certainly understand everyone's wishes.

No, I knew there was nothing overt enough to have the desired effect with the NCAA, but yes, always fun to speculate on bad things happening to these idiots. :)

Will be interesting to see if Eason decides to commit to Florida, as we just signed Feleipe Franks late Sunday evening, the 4 star qb who was initially committed to Lsu. Very exciting!

You probably shouldn't us "we" to refer to Florida on a GT board. Just saying.

Well that's my alma mater, but I see what ur saying. Now if somebody said "we" for ugay then their really in trouble!
I don't mind you referring to UF as "we". I mind you getting my hopes up that we (GT) signed a 4 star dual threat QB when I wasn't paying attention.

(in before comment about not having to ever worry about that)

Oops, gotcha. Now that would be sweet, you think CPJ might be out searching now after reading Stingtalk?

I saw the highlights of Eason. I really don't see what the big deal is. To me, he looks good on a high school level, but I wonder how he would fare if he played Colquitt County.

With a bunch of stoned surfers blocking for him, not good. The real question is what he'd look like if he played Colquitt County with SW Dekalb's line. And who knows.

Yea, I'd wager Jake Fromm from Houston County has a better career. Numbers he put up in 5A are ridiculous vs D1 prospects. Of course I'm pretty ignorant to Washington state high school talent. Is it a hotbed for recruiting?

I talked to some coaches who went up against Fromm recently. Their response? OMG. They said kid was unbelievable. His line was really good and gave him plenty of time but he made some great throws. They said they can see why Alabama wants him.
