New, New, New Committ

Listed at 265. Only weighs 210.

Hopefully, everything about him is the opposite of Jabari Hunt.

I hear he's down to 208 already.

Now, all we need is for someone to find a quote from the OL for his CC saying he's the worst DL he faced all year.

I knew this would happen as soon as we allowed JUCOs in. My boss is gonna be pissssssssssssssed tomorrow!

We've always allowed Juco transfers. The problem is that the guy must have passed calculus at the Juco to transfer and athletes rarely take calculus.

Hopefully Roof will utilize him properly. It'd be nice to have a real pass-rush presence at DE for a change.

Just too hard for me to get excited about incoming guys anymore. It's the same story year after year. Follow recruiting, get excited, end up disappointed. I think the game was more enjoyable when I didn't have expectations of certain players that they are not likely to live up to.

I was excited about this year's class, and then we had a lousy season and have lost two of our OL commitments, one from grades and one from a run-in with the GT po-po. Now it seems like we're going with Plan B guys evidenced by our last three recruits, who we beat out UAB, SMU, Kennesaw St., Liberty, Old Dominion and W. Kentucky to get.

And we have hired more people to work in, or are paying more for our football recruiting office than before? Is that correct?

The only thing that would suck worse than the above would be if their film and measureables sucked too. Fortunately for all three film and known measreables look like 3* rerankings once the services review. Also other offers will often come after the first major offer.

I will say from film this JUCO isnt 6-4 because no way are all those JUCO OL that big. Looks more 6-2 or 6-3 tops. Harder to tell on weight but he aint skinny. If J-Att was 245 he looks at least that and probably 10 lbs heavier. Moves well any way you slice it. Has a 6-5 350-lb DT brother in the NFL so maybe will grow.

Doesnt look like a savior but does look like a physically mature kid who wont have to sit out a year. Comes in January so gets spring practice and 8 months with Sisk. Realistic he could get some PT next year rotating.

The universal equation of human experience:

expectations minus reality equals disappointment ... :frown:
