The Learfield Directors' Cup is the all sports standings that is perennially dominated by Stanford, as it is again this year, The ACC looked pretty good. We had 8 teams in the top 22:
UNC - 4th
Syracuse - 6th
UVA - 8th
ND - 9th
NCSU - 17th
Duke - 18th
Louisville - 20
VT - 22
In fact the only ACC school outside the top 100 is GEORGIA TECH at # 148.
We are behind my daughters' 2 schools William and Mary (86) and James Madison (109). We are also behind UTC (101), Albany, BU, Coastal Carolina, Duquesne and UNC - Wilmington (all at 110), Oakland, South Alabama and Vermont (all at 119) -- well you get the picture.
And I know we field the fewest teams in the ACC - yadda, yadda, yadda. Don't want to hear it. Does it put us at a disadvantage? Maybe. It should also allow us to focus more on the teams we have.
