How many games to y'all think GT wins in 2016?

6-6 or 8-4 with a loss to southern and a win over Clemson either way

I was at the Southern/UGA game last year. They played a helluva game after almost beating tech in 2014.
Pitt out-played us last year and for the last 3/4 of 2014. I wouldn't count that as a lock either

Either CPJ catches all the breaks like 2014, catches zero breaks like 2015, or it all evens out to 6-6 or 8-4. But that's just my #twocents

All, none or half. What about thirds and quarters?

I was at the Pitt game. They didn't outplay anyone. We scored in bunches and they hing in there, but it was pretty even.

Based on what I know today, I'm guessing 5-6 wins. It's horrible but it's still better than last year.

8 +/-2.

I dont see any reason to believe we will be great, but dont think we will be bad either. We should be competitive in every game, but not good enough to count many as easy wins.

People calling for us to lose to GSU are silly. We were up 4 tds on them at half 2 years ago before falling asleep at the wheel and letting them back in it. That wont happen again. They played UGA close last year, as did we, and we were not good. UGA was not good. They followed up with a loss to GA f'ing State. They have a new coach. It could happen if we just play terribly, but no reason to believe it will happen. They will be one of the weakest teams we play this year.

It's hard for me to believe that, as long as CPJ has been using this offense, he hasn't encountered the defense of ND. When an OL player stated that they didn't know who to block, there's s problem in the OL coaching.

How many D1 teams really prepared for his Navy squad? He was able to catch them unprepared. It simply is not the same at GT when after a couple of years of success, everyone of the D1 teams spend time getting ready to stop his offense. I am not a big fan of recruiting rankings on HS kids but CPJ simply has not been able to recruit enough top talent since his arrival at GT. The ACC is getting stronger and all the schools are getting really talented players. Combine that with very good coaching staffs and CPJ has a lot of work to do to win.

Some teams figure they can beat Tech with athletic superiority, so they don't make much of an effort to prepare for much outside the TO or anticipate CPJ's adjustments. That was probably even more true at Navy. CPJ is usually good at finding those deficiencies in their strategy. But coming off of 2014, most of the teams spent more preparation time on Tech than usual. Our offense wasn't executing well and didn't have enough experience to incorporate adjustments. This year, more depth and experience at the skill positions will make us more dynamic on offense, and maybe the bad season last year will lull some teams back into some overconfidence in their athleticism. I think the opener against BC will be an early indication of how our season will go.

We say this after every bad season but then he goes back to winning football games. This is just another way to say "they got the blueprint." Nobody's got the blueprint and we're not done winning football games under CPJ.

I believe the teams around us are getting better: Clemson, Miami, UNC and Duke.

I do not believe Notre Dame gave everyone the blueprint and we don't know how to counter it. That is absolutely stupid.

It all comes down to blocking again this year like every year. I think we step up.

you do realize that ND's blueprint was designed to specifically confound the blocking, right? That's apparent to you is it not?

I know that two games later, Navy scored 21 and gained 234 yards in the first half against Notre Dame. The simple, sad truth is our offense last year was the worst of PJ's tenure. I'm not ready to call it quits cause we had one bad season.
