Best QB to run the CPJ system?

I think its safe to say the JT had the best season for any QB in the system, but last year he looked to be on the same trend as Reggie Ball (Surprisingly impressive the first year, sadly disappointing the rest). In my opinion, the order goes: Nesbitt, JT, Tevin. Thoughts?

Jaybo Shaw is probably the best option QB that CPJ has had. He had an incredible knack for reading the defense, and was always good for 2-3 yards. That being said, he didn't have the dynamic playmaking capability that JT or JN had.

So, it would be difficult to say which is the best QB. Depends on how you define it.

Great backup. But not fast enough and not a strong enough arm to be considered among the best.

Name a CPJ starting QB that could consistently throw a pass when needed.

So it's been 15 years, which is my point. "Consistently throw a pass when needed" QBs don't grow on trees. Passing game even less scrutinized since CPJ been here because of nature of our offense (yes, I realize that the importance is magnified since we pass a lower percentage of the time).

Neither Suggs nor Bilbo nor Reggie nor Teletubby were solid arms. And most of them had better OL than Nesbitt or Tevin or JT5. So coaching hasn't made us any worse at the QB position. That's my point.

Who was Teletubby? I'm going on pure process of elimination so I'm guessing Taylor Bennet?

Something has to be said for the way JN was willing to completely adapt to he new system. The same cannot be said for Vad, obviously.

I remember Chan burning JN's redshirt to run some sneaks and then a pass against North Carolina his freshman year. Would have been great to have him one more year.

Anyway, I always respected him for not transferring (and Dwyer and Bebe) when Paul Johnson came in and making the system work the first (!) year.

I'm looking forward (maybe with blind optimism)to a big year by Thomas.

Watched 2009 FSU game recently. Nesbitt was extremely difficult to stop on the midline (double option). What made him unique as a runner was the way he accelerated through contact and just gashed through the hole sending defenders flying. Very startling visually. It was such a high percentage play and it frustrated defenses to no end.

It made me remember just how good he was. Death march in a can.

A pretty close source (former player and assistant weight training coach under gailey) told me thay Ball was a "turd" in the weight room and never got any stronger in his four years. His exact words. I highly doubt Reggie would have been good in the triple option for this reason. But also he was pretty durable, didn't he only miss one start his whole career, vs Uconn, and then the last one for being academically ineligible? He may have had the ability to run it, but not for long.

Just saying he didn't have a good enough arm to be considered the best. He could throw a bit, but imo not as well as JT or even Tevin.
