Who sold their car?

I actually saw it driving down Marietta Street several years back. It was a good looking ride.

So I'm guessing someone died and their kids don't want this car. Probably ungrateful little UGA punks

It did look like an older couple driving it when I saw it. It was a sweet ride.

If I didn't already have two......

Damn, I just pissed away $25K to Swarm Week. If only I had seen this first.

The kids may be ungrateful little punks, but with this level of commitment, they would have been written out of the will if they went to the cesspool.

$25,000 is way above market value for that vehicle. I think Streetside is mostly a broker that takes a commission on the sale. It's possible the owner isn't really anxious to sell it, but is willing to let it go for double it's actual value if the right Tech enthusiast comes along.

Really? It's darn near the same as a new car: brakes, A/C, CD/Radio, Suspension, Engine, etc.

That's the problem. Not much on it is left from the original 1929 Ford Model A. To get top dollar, you'd either need to restore it to originality or do a high-end restomod treatment. This one looks like it's mostly kit-car quality with plastic and fiberglass parts on an old frame.

The pics further down the page show what they built the car out of. Looks like a good steel body and fenders. You couldn't build it that nice for $25k. Plus, it is a "best offer" car. Perhaps anything north of $20k takes it.

Yeah, the way they did it with the Chevy engine, tilt wheel, etc is a bit of a bummer. I get what they were trying to do, but if you have an A, does it really need to be a modern "driver"?
Not the point, in my opinion.

Does anyone make a steel repo Model A coupe body? I know there's a few companies making the roadsters.
