We actually wore triple gold when Bud was here. Gold helmets, jersey and pants. Think we did it against UGAy in '68.

Nope, sorry. Never been done at GT. Hence my post, with consideration to what CPJ had said.

1968 vs ugag. Worst shellacking we suffered vs them ever (48 - 6 I think until the great CCG 51-7). Crap ugag had some players that year. Not the least Jake Scott & Bill Stanfill.

Regarding Lenny- there was a saying back then - "King & Snow and away we go."

Lenny was something to watch......could break ten on the 100 and ran so hard ....when he got hurt we were dead in the water.Wonder what happened to him...he was just plain GREAT

He was a good 'un! Along with Jeff Ford, Brent Cunningham, Smylie Gebhart, and the Rock just to name a few.

You realize those guys did not play on the varsity with Lenny, right? Perhaps it was just commentary on their qualities as players.

Now Lenny's lil brother, Poncho (IIRC), yes he did play with those guys.

My Dad started taking me to Tech games in 1966. I was eight years old. Went to every home game that year including the 6 to 3 win over the Vols.
King, Snow, Baynham, Breland were great. Good defense with Bill Eastman, Giles Smith, Haven Kicklighter. Used to run down the rampway of
the east stands right above where team came off the field to enter the locker room. Rats waving caps, saluting Dodd with "Damn Good Coach,
Damn Good Coach. Great memories!
