ACC moves this year's championship game from Charlotte

öööötiest stadium I ever stepped foot in.

Cool story bro incoming.

I was an extra in The Program, which was filmed at Williams Brice. I got something like $25 and a free lunch out of the deal.

Man this board's free market republicans sure hate it when the free market decides to act against something they like!

Why are these private entities allowed to do whatever they want!? We need more government regulations to stop them

You're an idiot liberal. See how you like this precedent when the SEC or Chick-Fil-A utilizes their corporate influence to drive state level government policies towards gun rights or anti abortion laws. You hypocritical a-holes are all for it when you're on the winning end. Wait until your beliefs are on the losing end and corporate entries are trying to drive policy against you're beliefs.

IMHO regardless of the policy or the stance, anytime a national corporate entity tries to influence local government policies everyone loses. Be careful what your socialist ass wishes for because you'll be on the losing end before you know it!!

So when will Chick-Fil-A be outlawed from selling their product in ACC stadiums? How about their sponsorship of the play-off? The sword is double edged...

It sounds like you have not been paying attention. The governor of Georgia had to veto a similar bill because of pressure from many corporations. He freaking had to veto even the gun rights bill.

I said the same thing when the NFL utilized their power to make the citizens of Arizona revoke their immigration laws.

Something about private corporations trying using techniques like this to drive public policy in this manner is a VERY dangerous precedent...

What next, Americans elect Donald Trump and then Google and Apple use corporate threats to try to overthrow the election... VERY VERY Dangerous precedent here..

Completely agree. The ACC is headquartered in Greensboro BTW.

Why don't we host it at BDS? I mean we hosted the SEC tournament a few years back when the tornado went through Atlanta. We might as well do the same thing for our own conference.

I totally disagree wholeheartedly with ever mixing politics with sports on any level including international or local. With that said there has to be more to the story like how much money each school was going to lose in tv revenues if the presidents didn't take this step.

I thought it was wrong to boycott the Moscow Olympics.

They have a right to bitch about the company they're buying the product from. And there's nothing else that can be done about it other than bitching. Noone's gonna boycott the ACC championship if their team makes it, just because they're mad about ACC's decision to politicize the product.

I think I like the idea of playing at the home stadium of the team with the better record. Of course more butthurt will ensue if that becomes a reality. And what is college football without butthurt?
Boycott? Maybe not. Not go to Orlando when they definitely would have gone to Charlotte? Absolutely.

I think it was stupid to move it out of Charlotte because they wanted to politicize this öööö but I'll be in Orlando if Tech makes the Acc championship.
