Arm strength: Justin vs Nesbitt

No if, and or buts Nesbitt hands down had much stronger throwing arm, JT is more accurate. Nesbitt was incredible making the transition to running PJ's option offense. He was money on short yardage downs. We have missed that piece of PJ's offensive strategy. JT has been doing too much dancing laterally than planting a foot and getting the sure 1-2 yds on QB keepers on the outside option plays. Something else that is pretty remarkable is the health of our QB's. Every team that recruits against us would lead you to believe that the QB is more prone to sustaining injuries running the option but the only significant loss of PT when was when Nesbitt attempted a tackle after an interception against VT.

Still upset at that play call. IIRC, we had 1st & goal around their 10, running game had been working well all game, and we decide to throw it with Nesbitt rolling left instead of right. Obviously made worse by the fact that JN injured himself trying to make the tackle. :infu:

I will always cherish "4th and Nesbitt"
Definitely. 2 or so yards to go on 4th down Nesbitt just takes the ball and goes straight ahead.

I submit this pass (around the 5:02 mark) to evidence. I'm sure there were others that better showcase his arm strength, but that one always stands out in my mind. Nesbitt had a rocket laser cannon arm, but Justin is a better passer.

Wow, I wish we could still stretch the field like this. What happened to our O?

Nesbitt could throw the ball through a cement block wall... if he could hit the cement block wall. No doubt he had the stronger arm. Lack of touch and accuracy were the issues.

So I am having this argument with a fellow Tech fan:

I think Justin's arm was stronger than Nebitt's. Justin is the better passer between the two for sure. A fellow fan says Nesbitt's arm was stronger, but he was not allowed to pass as much as Justin.
Any thoughts?
I watched film of Nebitt when he was senior at Green County and according to the coaches in the CSRA he was going to be a dual threat but..........he was not a drop back passer and he didnt take snap from center but he could throw off the spread......I think he had a stronger arm than JT but JT throws better off the run.We must remember first few years all JN did was run the football from the spread and Chan didn't use his abilitiy as a athlete.Go with stronger arm to JN but accuracy is ...well different since at times Josh couldnt hit the side of a barn.
