Most of the students (and forget the athletes) think of their school more in terms of SEC than anything academic.

I think SEC athlete is probably a bigger badge of honor. I mean not everybody can pass calculus but not everyone can run a 40 in 4.3 either.

No, you're known by the company you keep. ACC has a better academic reputation than the SEC. I'm not saying we would have worse academics, just that our reputation might suffer among some of the pollsters.
