Quay Searcy

Remember when that dwag running back (Moreno?), a few years ago lept that UT player, and all the dwag fans talked about him being the next Herschel and he was on the front page of the AUC for weeks? What are they going to say about Quay launching himself from the 5 yard line to win the game? Classic!!!!

I love how 5 mutts collapsed on him as he crossed the goal line

Posting this image will probably slow down the board even more.

But öööö it.

Will forever love Quay and the play. I also elevate Butker and Justin on my favorites list. JT joins Dewberry, Jones, and Hamilton as two time Dawgbeating QB's in the past fifty years.

Billy Lothridge and one or two others too

The play CPJ originally designed with Quay passing the ball to JT across the field looked kind of suspect, so by cutting back and running it himself he probably saved CPJ a lot of grief from the fans!

It kinda worked in that it confused them. Three or four guys went out to cover up JT, which opened the middle. Then #3 for UGA, who was in good position to make the stop, turned his head toward the sideline at the exact wrong moment. PJ said after the game it was a run-pass option, FWIW, but it looked like improv when the pass wasn't there.

So it might've been a good call in that doing something wacky there opened up their defense.

This. As soon as I saw him look for the pass I was fully expecting an interception, I've seen it play out too many times. Can you imagine throwing a pick there on 3rd down with a back? Can't believe quay took off on his own, amazing play, great damn day.
