What do we know about Kentucky?

The win at Louisville is reason for concern, but the epic collapse by the Cardinals with a blowout loss to Houston and rivalry loss to Kentucky to end the season makes me think Louisville just sux sometimes. Jackson threw 3 interceptions and had a critical fumble against the Wildcats, so I think you have to discount that game. I think CPJ will enjoy taking on an SEC team that hasn't faced his offense for a long time. The Kentucky coaches know what's up and won't take us lightly, but I don't think they have the athletes on defense to prepare for it.

Does anyone know if Kentucky has played a D1 option-based team (other than Auburn) in a while? My limited research is coming up with "no".

Of course, Stoops faced us as FSU's DC back in 2012 ACCCG, but suffice it to say Kentucky won't be trotting our near the defensive talent that FSU had/has.

Lamar Jackson was able to find time to do Heisman poses in between all those turnovers during the Kentucky game.

Two good things have come out of Kentucky. One is the Greatest. The other is the mint julep, and it tastes better with Tennessee whiskey. Everything else is West Virginia lite.

The early losses are bad, but @Alabama, Georgia, and @Tennessee are reasonable.

Only real win I see is Louisville, which is big. Vandy is a bowl team, but at 6-6. All other wins are vs. losing teams or South Carolina (6-6).

For comparison, we beat Vandy too. But also, Boston College, VT, and UGA.

They opened the season by losing to Southern Miss. Then Florida beat them 45-7 after struggling against UMass the week before. They were fairly consistent in their mediocrity all season, with the Louisville game looking like a major outlier.

I think we put up 40+ points, regardless. If our D can force a couple turnovers, we win by 20+. If not, we're in for a shootout with the two teams combining for like 600 yards rushing.

Louisville got torched on D and turned the ball over 4 times. It's sort of who they are. UK is clearly competent, but I'm not buying that this win nullifies the averageness they've displayed the rest of the year. No other meaningful wins, some close games against decent teams, one bad loss, and getting pasted by superior competition.

Granted, we've been fairly similar.

Theyve given up 30+ points in 7 games. Im not too worried about our O. Especially with JT in his last game.

I hope we can stop their run game but I think our D is up to it. We have seen and shut down some good RBs this season.

Things we know about the Commonwealth: not a single university in the entire state ranks in the Top 150 of the US
Things we know about the Football Team: They will get rolled in their bowl game.

All those are even in my mind. VT=Louisville, BC=SC, Vandy=Vandy

But we beat UGA and they did not.

All I know is they're D is soft and we will be 9-4. I'm beyond proud of our team and coaches for bouncing back the way they have in 2016. 6 win improvement is outstanding. On to 2017 THWg
